Draft @ Bell’s Eccentric Cafe: Well it looks like I am in the minority here but I liked it. Clear and looks like apple juice but more syrupy. Legs run up the glass. Sweet aroma with nice floral notes. Apples and a big honey appearance. The honey was mostly in the aroma and not as much in the flavor (which works just fine with me). the flavor was of sweet and moderately tart apples. Some honey on the finish. It is like a floral hard cider. MoDog (928) - Griffith, Indiana, USA - JUN 17, 2007
On tap at Bell’s Eccentric Cafe. This mead poured a clear, golden color with and orangish hue. Absolutely no head. There were huge carbonation bubbles running up the sides of the glass. The aroma was very tart and sweet with strong apple notes. Just a touch of honey. The flavor was crisp and sweet. Mostly apple. I found it to be a very refreshing drink for a hot summer day. kp (10880) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 1, 2007

clear dark yellow, headless, aroma of sweet honey mixed tart granny smith apples, nice tart flavor,

On tap at the Eccentric Cafe on 4/28/06: Pours a slightly carbonated clear golden with thin legs. Sweet, lightly citric sour apple and clover honey aroma. Starts light, tart, and fruity with a good balance. Finishes pretty dry and slightly puckering, hiding the alcohol well. SubstanceT (1092) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - JUN 26, 2006
On tap at the brewery. Intersting. Hazy copper. Nose mostly apples and the taste mostly the same. Some intersing feel to it, kind of like a film from the apple skin like if you eat too many apples with a dry mouth. Thought it was a cider not a mead.

On tap at eccentri cafe. Pours golden-yellow color with an almost non-existant head. Aroma is tart apples and honey. Flavor is tart apples, honey, alcohol. Palate is light bodied, medium sharp carbonation, finishes tart and dry. I don’t have many meads for points of reference, but I found this to be refreshing and very crisp. I enjoyed this. frankenkitty (2014) - Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA - JUN 23, 2007
Is this a cider or is this a mead? Whatever it is, my wife didn’t like it so I finished off the 3/4 pint she didn’t want. Served a clear, golden/amber under a wisp of a head. Apples overtook the aroma, both tart and sweet. Tasted very much like a cider as well, except without the acidity I’ve experienced elsewhere. I couldn’t get any honey notes off of it. Crisp, dry palate. As a cider, this was pretty darn good. As a mead, it pretty much sucks.

the problem with this offering was just that there was nothing going on. way too straightforward and one-dimensional. sour and appleish, i forced myself to finish it. pretty lousy. CMUBEERMAN (457) - - MAY 31, 2006
I didn’t think this was terrible. My first mead...it was like an apple cider with a bit of lambic funk going on. Aroma was tart and yeasty...flavor was sour and funky...mouthfeel was extremely light and lowly carbonated. milewide (2315) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - MAY 9, 2007
Draft at Bells. Yellow color. More alcohol than expected. Aroma and taste were mostly sweet.
