Draft at the Eccentric Café, Kalamazoo. Hazy deep orange-brown body, thin off-white head. Piny, toasty, spicy hops-forward nose. Spicy, hoppy body with pine, citrus rind, and berries, backed by toasty, brown sugar malts. Tobacco leaf and bubblegum develop with warmth. Good complexity with a firm bite. Yum.

On tap at Bells Eccentric Cafe in Kalamazoo. Pours a copper brown with a beige head and hoppy, fruity aroma. Taste is bitter sweet, of hops, tropical fruits, grapefruit, and citrus with a dry, hoppy finish.

On tap at Eccentric. Pour is a nice medium light brown. Perfect aroma. Not sure how it will go with a brown ale, but man that smells good. Tropical and citrus fruit all over the place. Flavor is more of the same with just a hint of chocolate or dark malt. Good stuff for the IPA crowd.

Aroma of fruit.... Like dried fruit and pine cones. Very tasty... Very smooth tropical fruitiness and resin. Light malt. Very tasty.

b3shine (9072) - Indiana, USA - JUL 19, 2013
Draft to taster at Eccentric Cafe. Looks solid; light for an imperial brown though. A mostly transparent copper with off-white lacing. Smells and tastes of bitter hops and malt with a touch of roast. Average on the palate. Decent beer.

Dark amber mostly translucent pour with inch of head the color of oatmeal. Light but hoppy citrus aroma. Definite smooth carmel malt taste, a little dark bitter chocolate too. Well rounded flavors of citrus hops as well. Somewhat higher than average carbonation, soft mouthfeel, a fairly smooth finish. Not too bad, a bold selection in the experimental hop series that definitely stands out.
