COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Expedition Stout aged in Traverse City Whiskey barrels. Vanilla, bourbon, nutty, chocolate, warming.

Note: This edition has only been available at Bell’s Eccentric Cafe and special events. All Barrel-Aged Expedition batches prior to the 2016 bottled version, which used Four Roses bourbon barrels, have used Traverse City Whiskey barrels, and the most recent batch is 13.2%. The exceptions to this rule are the Two James and Heaven Hill barrel-aged variants, which were one-offs and have their own unique entries.

Backlog z Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2017.

Mycket gott!

March 11, 2017 - on tap at the Rare Beer Fest. Black pour with limited head. Aroma and taste of strong whiskey, wood, sweet and spice. I was excited to finally try this and was not disappointed. This was better than the 2016 Black Note they brought tried side by side.

maley1 (1273) - Calgary, CANADA - MAR 5, 2017
Black pour with beige head. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, roasted malts, caramel and faint nuts. Taste of unsweetened chocolate, vanilla, roasted malts, hops, subtle bourbon notes, slight oak and nuttiness. Full bodied, medium carbonation, perfectly balanced, a real treat to try!
