Dark and thick. Amazing aroma. Roasty dark malt, coffee, caramel and chocolate to name a few. Taste is lightly sweet roasted malt, coffee, molasses and caramel. Absolutely outstanding stout.

Bought in a bottle. The poor is heavy dark and has very little head that quickly dissipates. The nose on it reminds me of heaviness fruit chocolate in a little bit sweet. The taste it’s me right away with bubbles heavy brattiness fruit coffee and chocolate. What is so interesting is the fact that it finishes well and I get a final west of carbonation it’s sort of whispers.I guess that final burn is from the alcohol. What a great brew to curl up with on a cold winter night along with someone else.

Since I long time that I was looking for this beer, I find it at the Pibar, he reintroduces some of them and yesterday, I have taken the oportunity to try it and I shared this bottle with Raoul, best before 11.06.2019, bottle number 15025. It is a classical imperial stout but it is just so delicious, an explosion of happiness in your mouth with roasted malt, so good coffee, dark chocolate, hop, some, vanilla, sweet but it is not at the extreme, mineral, well balanced and the aroma is staying a long time in the mouth, a love story, to repeat thousands times. Pours up a pitch black color with a thin tan ring of head. Aroma is very very sweet, and super unusual, some roasted malty, dark chocolate, cocoa, dark dried fruits, wood, some weird sweet vegetable. Maybe even onion, or cucumber. Taste is super Sweet. Very capable of burning a hole in your tooth! Full on booze in the aroma and taste, makes this one seriously hard hitting beer. A huge brash imperial stout. Drink this with good Ir you'll pay the piper. Earthy root vegetable aroma. Potato and cucumber. Sugar plum and roast flavors. Complex and unusual. Sweet and burnt bitter finish. Lots of alcohol heat.

Finally, after being on my wantlist for years... 12 oz. bottle from Holiday Wine Cellar, Escondido, CA. Bottled October 2016. Pours pitch black. Thick light brown head with pretty good retention and some lacing. Aroma's: roasted, coffee, mocha, some red fruit, alcohol. Retronasal it's sweetish, molasses, chocolate, mocha, some red fruit, toffee. Flavor is above moderate sweet, molasses, chocolate, roasted. Pretty much full bodied. Very smooth mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Alcohol is warming but not at all sharp. Long finish, roasted, light moderate bitter. Wow! Forget all the hypes, this is an awesome imperial stout! Pours black and opaque with a nice foamy tan head and an aroma of malt. Tastes of resinous cocoa, coffee and anise with a finish of bitter coffee and hops. It’s exceptionally full bodied and creamy with minimal carbonation. I’m assuming that the alcohol also adds to the bitter finish. It’s a little sticky as well.
