Bottle purchased from beer store in Orlando. Happy this one survived the flight back to Jersey. This stout pours thick and black with no head except for a small brown ring around my glass. The aroma is big malt, vanilla, roasted nuts, and alcohol. At first taste the alcohol was evident up front with some bitter coffee bean which mellowed out through the finish. Dark chocolate and dark fruits also well incorporated. The hop flavor is slightly present and nice in this one. All these flavors combined and balanced make one harmonious stout. Nice creamy mouthfeel with a bit of afterburn from the alcohol.
UPDATED: OCT 13, 2017 2017 version is much more mature than 2016. Chocolate, coffee, licorice, fruit, toffee. Can't imagine what aging will do to this beer. Best RIS out there in opinion. BeardedAvenger (1022) - Addlestone, Surrey, ENGLAND - OCT 8, 2017
Bottle from Beautiful Beers, Bury-St-Edmunds. Smoky leather aroma. Glossy black. Thick foam dark capuccino head. Muvh lacing. Light-medium bitter, with a warmth to it. A tang. Rich coffee, Oulu tar liqour. Some burnt caramel. Thick bodied. Creamy. Sticky. Average carb. An astringent element to the finish. Retains a warmth. Warming. Never overdoes it. Great on a Sunday night. Should turn the fire on. Westy1130 (108) - New York, USA - SEP 30, 2017
I try to be conservative when giving a perfect score, but I genuinely cannot find a flaw in this beer. Rich opaque dark body with light brown head. Incredibly well balanced flavor. Has the bold espresso/Arabic bean flavor you get from a Founders Breakfast, with the sweet mellow vanilla oak from a Bourbon County.
Very worthy for review 100 Hopper8 (225) - Holland, Michigan, USA - SEP 28, 2017
What a phenomenal beer. The dark fruits notes are really really well blended with the dark chocolate notes in the beer. It's super smooth and delightful while also being very complex both on the nose and in the taste. Pyrmir (6196) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - SEP 12, 2017
12 oz bottle at home, a few years old. Midnight black with tan head. Aroma has roasted malt, thick creamy chocolate, coffee, light alcohol and light liquorice. Taste is super smooth and extremely well balanced, similar notes as aroma with a salty, mineraly character in the background. Intensely enjoyable

330 ml bottle. Pours black, with small head. Nice chocolate, coffee, vanilla aroma.
Taste is a bit boozy, chocolate, roasty malt and coffee with a nice thick mouthfeel. Juks (936) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - SEP 1, 2017
330ml bottle. Pours black, beige head doesn't last very long. Aroma of prunes, chocolate liquour, port wine, coffee, vanilla. Taste is ashy, prunes, chocolatey, roasty. Burnt and boozy finish. Sticky mouthfeel, full bodied, low carbo. Good stout, but little bit overrated in my opinion. Boozy. hohops (1065) - Kent, ENGLAND - SEP 1, 2017
