The Kalamazoo IPA pours a subset orange with a thick ivory head that lasts a good while and leaves thick rings of lacing. The aroma is citrus, grapefruit and orange. The flavor is citrus all the way. Overall this is a nice IPA

Sampled from the tap at the Eccentric Cafe. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a nice citrus note with a touch of peach and a light grain backbone. Flavor combines bitter citrus, grass and peach well with a light grain backbone. Damico (3147) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 3, 2015
Pours somewhat clear amber with a beige ring head. Aroma is pleasant citrus hops lightly sweetened. Flavor brings dry orange hops yet linger and are simple but delicious. coyotehunter (698) - , Michigan, USA - JAN 30, 2009
On tap 1/29/09 at the Eccentric cafe...From the tap board"An Experimental IPA" Pours a copper brown with a good lacing head. Very piney/citrusy aroma, taste is about the same with some woody earthy notes as well. Tastes much like a toned down Two Hearted. Very Enjoyable with a tart, slightly bitter, crisp finish. esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 19, 2009
On tap at Eccentric Café. Amber with a thin white slowly fading head. Aroma of pine, citrus and sweet malts. Taste of twigs and pine balanced out by sweet malt. Mildly sticky with a mild bitter finish that lingers on for a bit.

GABF 2013. Pours a bit hazy golden orange appearance with a light tan head. Soft grapefruity/citrusy, somewhat spicy hoppy aroma. Flavor really reminds me of Two Hearted with a juicy grapefruity forward flavor along with some grassy and herbal notes. Would like to drink again. On tap: The aroma consists of light-moderate grapefruit, citrus, and light grass. It’s a transparent amber with a one finger white head that fades to a thin film and leaves some thin webbing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with light-moderate citrus and a touch of tropical fruits. The finish has moderate grapefruit with a touch of grass. It’s light-medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Sampler Flight pour on tap at Eccentric Cafe (Kalamazoo, MI). Pours a nice deep amber orange hue, a gentle bit of haze but a deeper glow permeates the body, summer sunset hues come in and out with a frothy whitish head atop that dies to a firm ring, good lacing for it’s size. Aromas show citrusy grapefruit, a bit of leon, florals and green earthy hops. Touches of bready malts, a touch more subtance. Growing hop elements as we settle in. Initial is lighter end of the fold with a touch of girth, firm bite of grapefruit with touches of melon, lemon and florals. Nice spritzy citrus hop element picks up steam with grapefruit zest, juice elements setting the pace. Middle is cleaner body, allowing the hop elements to shine. Firm bitterness and florals hit into the backend, fresh American hop vibe shows just a bit of tropical fruit, faint melon and gumball. Finish is dry, a firm bitterness lingers on with pithy grapefruit, some florals and earth. Solid, fresh. The body never gets in the way, just a touch of Crystal sweetness at times that even drewbeerme could tolerate, and allows a good hop element to shine albeit not in an oppressive/overdone manner. Tasty stuff. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 16, 2014
~5oz pour on tap at Maduro during GTMW. Hazy golden orange color. Thin off-white head. Leaves pretty nice lace. Great citrusy hop profile, lightly spicy citrus, tropical fruit notes, guava, mango. Impressive hop. Some light bubblegum. Medium plus body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Light slick finish. Moderate bitter taste, light sweet. Solid, refreshing smooth and flavorful hoppy well-done IPA. arminjewell (9689) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - DEC 31, 2014
Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy golden-orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of nice grapefruit, pine, resinous notes, some hints of earth, spice, some nice caramel and biscuit tones into a bit of sweet cracker. Taste is a mix of orange, grapefruit, slight tropical into hints of biscuit, bread, slight caramel, finishing fairly bitter.
