COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a full-bodied stout with plenty of roast flavor as well as hints of molasses and chocolate. Ridiculous amounts of black and caramel malts make this stout smooth, creamy, and utterly opaque.

Bottle from Santa. Dark brown with no head. Good roasted flavors and aroma. Smooth on the palate. Some hops but not much, bitter finish. I think I should try this beer again as I had Bell’s Java stout right before I had this one.

Pours a very dark brown almost black with a nice pillowy brown head that dissapates mostly. Aroma of chocolate, roastiness, and a little coffee and caramel with a touch of hops in there as well. Taste is about the same. Mouthfeel was a bit thin but not bad. Another solid beer from bells.

Pours muddy black with an average sized brown rocky head. Aroma is malty: roasted malts, and dark chocolate, lightly hoppy of flowers. Flavor is moderatly sewwt and lightly bitter, finishes lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Medium to full bodied, creamy, softly carbonated. Clean finish perfectly carbonated, excelent.

Bottle, pours medium thick, dark black with a deep tan head that thins out and lightens up; good lacing. Aroma of sweeter roasted malts, licorice and molasses. Flavor of roasted malt, espresso, molasses (for a touch of sweetness) and some chocolate. Smooth taste with a bit of lingering malt/espresso flavor. An excellent roasty stout; highly recommended.

I actually liked it better the Expedition Stout. Smoother and just as flavorful. Overall a fantastic beer.

Bottle. Pours ultra dark with small tan head, with nice lacing. Aroma is deep dark chocolate, roasted coffee, burnt caramel. Taste is the same, dark chocolate, roasted coffee, burnt caramel, with some sweetness poking through. Thick creamy palate. Great all the way round! This is my standard for the style.

Very dark and still beer with not much head. Very smooth and full bodied flavor. Creamy and delicious.

Pours a very dark brown with a nice smallish tan head, nice lacing. Strong chocolate and some coffee, strong roastiness. Thick palate, full mouth feel. A little sweetness, quite a bite at the end. Not quite my style.

12 oz bottle. Opaque black color with a tight light brown head that showed some lastinf power and laced the glass. Smells ofrich chocolate cake and vanilla cream. Slightly sweet on the tongue with a lasting roasty bitterness. Creamy, full bodied mouth feel with dark chocolate, molasses, vanilla, and coffee flavors. Yum.

One of the best stouts I’ve ever tasted! This is a beer for the holiday season! I you like your beer dark, you are doing an injustice to not try this. Thick and rich like coffee with not enough water. Chocolate, roasted malt, cofee, you name it its there! Gimme more!
