Draft. Poured black with a medium caramel head and good lacing. Great coffee aroma that also shines through on the palate. Creamy with some carbonation and a great toasted malt profile.
12 oz bottle into a La Chouffe stemmed tulip glass on 12th Jan 2018 while on holiday in California. Lovely beer all round, dark brown with a fast fading beige head (the only down side). Malts and more malts in both the nose and taste, roasted and toasted, semi-sweet with a used leather sadddle twist flavour wise. Liked it. drjay44 (3891) - Salida, Colorado, USA - DEC 29, 2017

Where Purchased: 347ml bottle from the Meijer in Michigan (drive home from Chicago)
Consumed: from a pilsner glass
Aroma: Smells malty and sweet with a hint of chocolate.
Appearance : unfiltered dark brown with decent head that disappears within the first few sips. Very faint lacing.
Taste: very well balanced. Malty, sweet with a hint of hops. Not overpowering like mosts stouts can be.
Palate : medium body. Bittersweet aftertaste. Good carbonation.
Overall: Such a well balanced and easy drinking beer. A lot of stouts are heavy and loaded with hops that are masked by heavy sweetness. This was about perfect. I was glad to try and will definatley buy again. MB. The Beer "Bear"on.

0,33 l bottle. Pours dark brown with small dense dark tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, dried fruit, caramel. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is quite full, texture gentle and creamy, carbonation average. Finish is long, starts as chocolate and licorice, then roast bitterness and it ends as lingering coffee and chocolate. 355ml bottle from Uba ja humal.
Poured pretty much black in color with a creamy tan head. Perfect looks.
Coffee and licorice in aroma, roastedness, ash.
Ashy, burnt malts, roastedness and quite alot of licorice in flavor. Dry bitter finish with coffee and bitter chocolate. Sonewhst creamy mouthfeel despite the burntness. I like licorice so this is ok in my book.

Bottle from pivoljub.
licquorice, leaves, coffee, raisins, chocolate, mint. not too burnt, smooth. Alcohol warmth appropriate. Medium body, medium bitterness, medium sweetness. Soft carbonation, bitter finish that isn't harsh. Well rounded, pleasant and not overbearing. A good one. ogivlado (8316) - Zagreb, CROATIA - DEC 12, 2017
Bottled 355ml. -from Pivoljub Ljubljana. Pitch black coloured, small to medium sized beige head, dried fruits and chocolate in the nose. Roasted malt, chocolate, dried fruits, light coffee and touch of alcohol with rather dry and sweet finish. Expected better one. dropi6 (709) - POLAND - DEC 9, 2017
Pours dark, proper head, but quickly disappearing. coffee, roasty, some cacao. smooth, nice carbonation, little bit too less body. dlihcsnatas (819) - Temple, Texas, USA - DEC 8, 2017
Picked up one sampler bottle. Dark brew that smells of roasted malts with fruit and candy mixed in. Taste is up front chocolate followed by the roasted then finishing out with a dark fruity aftertaste. Now I wish I had picked up the six pack instead of just one. Where: Old Line Fine Wine Spirits & Bistro. How: 12 ounce bottle. Appearance: Dark, opaque, black color. Thick, tannish head that left quickly, but left nice lacing. Aroma: Sweeter than I would have thought. Chocolate/coffee, mostly. Taste: A bit bitter. A nice, choclatey bitter, though. Roasted tastes also (coffee). Palate: Creamy. Bitterness doesn't lend astringency. Mild, but sufficient, carbonation. Overall: A very nice stout. Didn't notice any of the licorice it was brewed with, but still very nice.
