COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a full-bodied stout with plenty of roast flavor as well as hints of molasses and chocolate. Ridiculous amounts of black and caramel malts make this stout smooth, creamy, and utterly opaque.

Nearly jet black with a Sanka-colored head, thin lacing throughout. Dark roasted malts and perfect sweetness; extremely well-balanced. One of the best stouts around. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark, proper head, but quickly disappearing. coffee, roasty, some cacao. smooth, nice carbonation, little bit too less body.

Picked up one sampler bottle. Dark brew that smells of roasted malts with fruit and candy mixed in. Taste is up front chocolate followed by the roasted then finishing out with a dark fruity aftertaste. Now I wish I had picked up the six pack instead of just one.

Where: Old Line Fine Wine Spirits & Bistro. How: 12 ounce bottle. Appearance: Dark, opaque, black color. Thick, tannish head that left quickly, but left nice lacing. Aroma: Sweeter than I would have thought. Chocolate/coffee, mostly. Taste: A bit bitter. A nice, choclatey bitter, though. Roasted tastes also (coffee). Palate: Creamy. Bitterness doesn't lend astringency. Mild, but sufficient, carbonation. Overall: A very nice stout. Didn't notice any of the licorice it was brewed with, but still very nice.

Black colour, small light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, licorice, oats, ash, hops. Dry sweet taste with dry bitter hoppy finish and aftertaste. Medium body and average carbonation. Nice stout.

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2017 W aromacie głównie kawa i palone słody.

Picked up this one when I saw it in NYC based on the rep and it's good, but not top of the pile. It has a nice roasty malt mocha smell with a dark brown body with a thin head. It tastes like a mix of chocolate, smoke, and a dash of hoppy bitteress. Good for a JCVD psychedelic western and cookies and ice cream.

I've had this beer in bottle before and always enjoyed it, but for whatever reason never rated it. So, this rating comes from a tap pour at Olive Ridley's in Plattsburgh, N.Y. Pours nearly opaque black with ruby highlights; has a creamy light brown head and lacing. Aroma: coffee, chocolate, dark dried fruits. Flavor: espresso, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, oatmeal, figs, dates. Mouthfeel: medium- to full-bodied, creamy finish. Very tasty.

Bottle from Acme. Opaque black full bodied, with roasted malt aroma. Taste improves as the beer warms, as licorice and chocolate notes emerge. Bittersweet finish. A well crafted stout!

Good stout with chocolate and molasses flavor. Is a great pairing, in prep for thanksgiving, with a pumpkin cake doughnut from Longs Bakery in Indy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
