As refreshingly crisp as a morning swim in a Great Lake, this brew is crafted with Pils and Munich malts. The pronounced hop character of this golden lager sparks thoughts of sandy beaches and rocky islands.

12 oz bottle. Pale yellow, soapy white head disappears into absolutely nothing; minimal lacing. Aroma bread, yeast. Flavor light and crisp, touch of grass, quite light yet pleasant sharp bitterness through the finish; dry finish. Medium-thin body. Nothing offensive but unimpressive; it destroys mass market lagers but otherwise I can’t imagine buying this again.

Clear light gold pour, finger of fluffy white on top. Nose is crisp pilsner malt, background Euro hops. Bitter. Middle is semi sweet malt, some apple, herbal hops. Finish is dry and delicious.

Draft - Pours a golden straw color, pretty vibrant. Wispy eggshell colored head. Aroma of apple, corn, cereal. Very refreshing a crisp feel to this guy. Apple, sweet corn and fresh floral hops. Not bad.

The Pils malts really stand out in the aroma, grass and honey. Mid yellow, slightly hazy body. A few slow and lazy carbonation bubbles lead to a thin ringed head. Flavor matches the aroma, a full bodied pilsner, nice.

Pours a mostly clear yellow golden color with white colored head. Cereal grains, crisp and clean on the aroma, almost a typical lager yeast note too on the nose; follows onto the palate. Light bodied. Finishes very crisp and clean.

A beer that tastes very much like beer. No frills, no abundance of hops or strong malt profile, just a plain ol’ beer-tastin’ beer. Pale Euro-malts give up a crisp, yeasty bread-n-hay front followed quickly by a dry middle and a mildly sweet Pils finish. As straightforward as beer can be, easy to drink and almost instantly forgettable. Nonetheless, a worthy bottle to keep on hand for the unconverted Budchugger.

I’m not getting the low scores here, this is a damn near perfect czech pils. I would drink this anywhere anytime. Really nice soft malting, classic soft water effects with the gentle hop aromatics and floral hop bitterness that perfectly complements the dry crackery malts. Pale golden color.

Bottle as Lager of the Lakes from Total Wine, West Richmond. Pours pale golden with a small white head. Aroma of grasses. Flavor is bitter grass, light fruitiness, glue, and malt. Boring, ordinary, all that.
