Draft at EC. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex citrus hop, fruit and alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy smooth bittersweet citrus flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer. deyholla (12583) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - OCT 25, 2014
On tap at the Eccentric Cafe. Pours a clear gold with a slight amber hue and an off-white head that dissipates to the edges and laces nicely. Aroma has a beautiful pine and bitter citrus combination backed by light grains with a touch of sweetness. Flavor is much more citrus forward with a bit of bitter pine and a grain backbone. arminjewell (9727) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - DEC 31, 2014
Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of orange, grapefruit, some slight tropical fruit, hints of caramel, toffee in there. Taste is a mix of grapefruit, orange, some pineapple into a bit of grass, pine, hints of caramel, toffee into a bit of spice, finishing bitter. Nice. b3shine (9259) - Indiana, USA - JUL 16, 2013
Draft to snifter at Eccentric Cafe. Looks good; a transparent cop perish orange with off-white head that dissipates into lacing. Smells and tastes solid; floral and grapefruit hops with a sweet, malty backbone. Good on the palate with a notable but not unpleasant boozy presence. Good beer. Pint at the Eccentric Cafe on 3/30/13. Clear gold pour with a thick beige head. Aroma of malt, citrus, pine and grassy hops. Malty flavor at the start, then bright orange accents take over before a spicy hop finish. Nicely done.

On tap: The aroma consists of light citrus, faint fruit, and a hint of grain. It’s a transparent dark amber with a small off-white head. The flavor starts with a quick dose of light fruit with a hint of caramel. The finish moderate citrus hops with grapefruit and a touch of pine. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat soft mouthfeel. Silphium (3224) - Traverse City, Michigan, USA - JUL 27, 2013
Draft at the Eccentric Café, Kalamazoo. This version listed at 10.3% abv. Slightly hazy deep copper red-orange body, thin ring of off-white carbonation. Sweet nose, also bitter/rindy, with grapefruit and berries. Bitter hops and alcohol are the first impressions on the palate, with big, juicy citrus, primarily grapefruit, and tropical fruits coming on mid-palate and lingering into the finish. A little thin up front, but tasty. Art (3220) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 3, 2013
Citrusy hoppy aroma. Sweet citrus taste with a bitter finish. On tap at eccentric cafe. Best of the trial beers on tap. tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - OCT 14, 2014
Tap @ Bells: Deep, mostly cloudy burnt copper & deep amber... Almost brown, actually. Rich, beige, super lathery head on top; lasting & creamy. Aroma of juicy citrus, grapefruit, dense pine, tangerine, light florals & flower petals, & some moderate candied orange peel towards the back-end. Tastes like a grapefruit coated with sugar & drizzled with a touch of caramel. Pretty malty & sweet, although balanced by some toastiness & a plentiful balance of hops. Orange, mild toffee, floral notes, leading to a pretty bitter, perfume-like finish. I feel like if this were bottle (or "old" at all) it would be overly sweet & gross. But fresh from the tap, it was pretty good, even though I normally don’t like DIPAs that tend on the sweet, maltier side. Semi-sticky body.
