Draft. Pours a cloudy orangish red color. Aroma and taste are citrus and floral. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - JUL 14, 2014
Draft pour on tap at Eccentric Cafe (Kalamazoo, MI). Pours a deep amber orange hue, mellow haziness with deep orange glow. Frothy offwhite head atop stays as a nice filmy layer, sits atop and laces ok. Aromas are a bit floral, earthy with some gentle citrus, touches of bread and mellow green leafy hops. A touch powdery with gentle lemony and dry hops. Initial is lighter end of the fold, a bit fuzzy with touches of earth, florals, and gentle citrus. A gentle sweetness hits the middle, a touch of caramel sweetness meets bready malts, a bit of earth and florals. Backend shows that berry they mentioned with a bit of floral, touches of citrus. A bit sweet, a touch deadened into the finish with some earth, florals and gentle fruit elements. Not as clean or vibrant as I’d like. There are some nice flavors involved with some deadened awkward sweetness at others. A bit sweet, the hops give a nice flavor but aren’t potent, don’t have enough intensity to speak through the sweeter base. Meh.
