COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first in a three-part series of interpretations on the French Biere de Garde style, Le Batteur leads with a distinctive yeast aromatic character mixed with light bready notes. Noticeably dry, the finish is crisp with a mild, refreshing acidity. The French term for a drummer, Le Batteur takes its name from a component of a classic jazz trio.

Plastic taster on tap at Party Town. Tried the three from the series in the row, last one I tried. It was way different from the other two, much more pale and citrusy, I liked the more bold ones better. Clear golden color. Thin white head. Good row of lace. Medium body. Lighter, kind of crisp carbonation. Lemony, citrusy flavor, some crackers / biscuits, light spice. Moderate sweet taste, lightly zesty. Light spicy bite. Oddly citrusy for a biere de garde

Pour on tap at Hopcat, hazy golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of orange, lemon, hints of white fruit, nice acidic note into a bit of grass, lemon peel. Taste was a mix of white fruit, lemon, oak, some slight brett, hints of tart lactic notes, finishing slightly tart, slightly dry.

Very nice for a slightly sour beer but not much like Biere de Garde. Maroon pour with decent head and lacing. Light tangy finish. Nice stuff. Tap at Snally.

Draft to pint at Eccentric Cafe. Looks decent; a cloudy golden with thin white lacing. Smells doughy. Tastes doughy, but with a little zip. Average on the palate. Not bad, but enderwhelming, especially for being a brewery-only release.

Keg @ Side Street. Hazy gold pour with a small head. Fruity esters. Plum and tart pear. A touch of balsamic-drizzled brioche. Soft honey. Flavor’s moderately acidic and tart. Plum fruit leather. Cake batter sweetness. Medium body, active carb.

On tap at Maduro. Poured clear, bright golden with a tall, creamy white head. The aroma picked up crisp lemon and grass over a complementary bready base.. really enjoyed it. The flavor found meaty lemon and bread at the core, with more tart lemon, wheat, and dry white spices around.. perfect balance, with lovely, lingering lemon on the dry finish. Lighter-bodied and crisp on the palate.. dry and refreshing.. very good stuff.
