Tap into a snifter at Eccentric Cafe. Fruity/floral, candy aroma. Chardonnay colored, with almost non-existent head. Mid-heavy sweet. Thin feel, light bodied, soft carbonation, sweet but not overpowering or too long of a finish. Tastes of sweet green apples and honey. I suggest that one let it warm up a little in order to fully enjoy it, as it is served quite cold. A very drinkable mead. Bullit (4686) - Buffalo, New York, USA - MAY 5, 2009
Tap @ Eccentric cafe. Champagne coloured, tiny clear bubbly head. Aroma is yeasty and honey. Flavour is sour and sweet grapes, with honey. Good carbonated. Well drinkable and refreshing. Tmoney99 (14968) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 27, 2009
Sample at The Eccentric Cafe.
Poured clear pale color with good legs and virtually no head. Moderate citrus honey aroma. Light to medium body with a thin texture. Light to medium citrus honey sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.
Soft drinkable mead. coyotehunter (698) - , Michigan, USA - FEB 25, 2009
On tap 2/25/09 at the Eccentric cafe. "strong fermented honey served in an 8 oz. glass."
I swear this tastes like the golden rye they had a month or so ago, but whatever. Little smell, maybe some honey and grain. Pours gin clear and light yellow, with a thin head. Tastes like white grapes, golden raisins and lots of honey. Very sweet and syrupy.
Not to my liking.....as with all meads.
