Thanks for the bottle, Derek! The pour is a pale yellow color with a little bit of carbonation to it (interesting). The nose is rather sweet with a definite grape soda aroma. There is a bit of honey to it as well as some sugar. The flavor is a bit like a grape soda mixed with an Otter Pop. Really quite sweet and sugary, though the light carbonation does help a little bit. A bit boozy, too, despite being on the lower end of alcohol for a mead. Ibrew2or3 (8614) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JAN 7, 2012
750mL bottle at the Black Friday Tasting pours clear colorless water with hints of golden hues and a super slim near white head. The aroma is honey, crusty dry honey, a modest white wine like note and some chemicals at the end of the draw. The taste goes from rich honey sweetness to thin semi tart white wine notes. Ok mead I guess that’s on the thin chemical and sort of tart side. Sammy (12204) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 12, 2011
Very decent mead, from the brewery. Some depth and complexity. Pleasant aroma. Some colour in the body.Decent drinkability for this version, at 10.5% dcschiller (2208) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - DEC 3, 2011
(750ml bottle courtesy of Rayl101 and shared at the Black Friday tasting. Thanks Kevin! #331/487). Pours a pale yellow with slight white head that rings the glass. Looks a bit like a chardonnay. Aroma is honey, flowers, and fruit. Taste is sweet with some citrus. Medium bodied with a slick texture. Smooth finish. Decent stuff. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - NOV 29, 2011
Black Friday tasting and what the FUCK? Pours a yellowish color. Aroma of honey, medicine, hops. Flavor is just awful. Honey is overshadowed by medicinal notes, herbal weirdness and just plain yuck.

So excited to see the bottle listed on the list for the BF ’11 tasting. Sorely disappointed after tasting it. Aroma got my hopes up...abundant honey, spicy notes, floral qualities, and candied citrus. Inviting, actually. Flavor just didn’t match and was, in fact, quite chardonnay-forward. Winey character and very cider-like. Thin and uninviting. Pass. craftycarl21 (2338) - Seattle, Washington, USA - OCT 18, 2011
Thanks to rayl101 for this one. Clear yellow pour with some rising bubbles and not much else. Honey and grain.... woot? Pretty mediocre. So many better meads out there than this one. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - OCT 16, 2011
750 ml courtesy of a Michigan trade. Pours a pale straw yellow hue, a bit bland and pale, some legs. Aromas are sweet and floral, pollen and flower petals, decent honey sweetness, more floral that sweet, a bit mellow. Initial is medium bodied but reminds of soda water and flowers, a mellow touch of honey, faint fruit. More floral and almost watery for a decent thickness in body. Mellow honey into the middle, a touch of pear and apple. But really, I’m lost. Touches of ABV heat, spritzy carbonation and soda water almost. Florals and pollen, grass. Finish is bland, a touch cereal, thin and watery flavor wise despite a touch of thickness in body. Weird, not good, don’t waste your time. deyholla (11604) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - OCT 15, 2011
Bottle shared by Adam, thanks! Pours a clear pale gold with a no head whatsoever. Aroma has notes of flora and a bit of plastic with just a hint of backing honey. Flavor starts with notes of soda water and a bit of flora and is backed by just a bit of honey. Carbonation is quite weird as well. MrChopin (4304) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - OCT 9, 2011
light transparent gold, thin white ring for a head. Nose is honey, apple, cider. Flavor is lightly bitter, astringent honey, oily.
