Pour on tap at the brewery, thick black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of lactose, chocolate, roast, some coffee tones into a bit of dark fruit, slight earth. Tap @ Bells: Deep brown with a black core; thin khaki film & modest collar up top. Creamy & milky sweet aroma with dark chocolate, mild hints of roast, & a touch of brown sugar. A little timid & mild overall. Nice amount of sweet lactose & milk sugars on the tongue without being overbearing. Hints of roast, coffee, & semisweet cacao nibs. Black pour with a fluffy Carmel head that turned beige quickly. Nice lacing as well. Really light, sweet roasted cappuccino aroma. Average to low carbonation, frothy/creamy mouthfeel, roasty wet finish. Good mixture of cream and earthy roasted coffee taste, taste turns only slightly acidic on finish. Really good milk stout that has robust backbone and less sweet than most.

12oz draft from the brewery’s taproom. Appearance is dark brown-black color with light, beige head. Aroma is mild with notes of chocolate and floral scent. Taste is sweet, malty, chocolate and lactic acidity. Palate is full-bodied, smooth and creamy texture, light carbonation, and a smooth finish. On draft at All Stouts Day. The pour is a reddish brown with a little lingering darkness. The head is minimal, light lacing. The aroma is heavy on the lactose, with light roasty tones. It's somewhat bland. With just a creamy roast being the prominent flavor. Not a bad beer, but not complex enough.

Draft sampler @ Bell’s. Pours a dark brown near black. Aroma of chocolate, taste is milk chocolate and sweet, heavy on the milky flavor. Decent overall.
