3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bells never disappoints me, even with a style that’s hard to work with as this one is. Light orange/copper, hazy pour. White head that sticks around for a while. Yeasty aroma, thicker mouthfeel than normal for a wheat, which is nice. Strong malt flavor with the wheat very apparent. Good esters in the flavor, too -- lots of clove and banana.
The description definitely makes it sound hoppy. But I thought it needed more hops to balance it out. Citrus notes. A decent beer if nothing is better is on tap

Bottle from BeerShop.gr, enjoyed at Gunnarsbu. Pours hazy deep golden with a small fast fading white head. Aroma of wheat, spicy hops. Taste is light sweet, soft creamy malts with a light spicy finish. Bacchus66 (773) - South Carolina, USA - SEP 16, 2017
12oz bottle. Hazy golden orange with a thick white head. Wheat, yeast, citrus, bread, grassy hops. Medium carbonation. Peppery wheat finish. Good stuff. dizchic77 (1) - - SEP 15, 2017 does not count
Very good taste, refreshing with fruity undertones. Served with an orange slice.

Pleasant looking. Nice lacing, creamy head. Strange aftertaste, but you get used too it. Not my favorite whet, had worse, had better.

on tap at Bridesburg Bottle Shop (which unfortunately just closed down) - cloudy yellow color. Slight malt aroma and flavor. Just ok. SONOFWODEN (71) - New York, USA - SEP 2, 2017
Poured with a great 2-inch head that stood up over the top of the glass and laced down the glass. Very hazy orange-color, which I liked, with medium carbonation. Aroma was typical bready, not much hops. Taste is that same bready, not sweet with just a little spice and hops. Medium, kind of creamy body. I enjoyed it and would drink it again -- but -- if Two Hearted Ale was on the menu, I would rather have Two-Hearted. BColan (14) - - SEP 1, 2017
Not my favorite by far. The smell ruins it. Don't know why it has such high ratings.

UPDATED: AUG 24, 2017 Not super wheaty, hint of floral notes. Light and refreshing with light kick at the end ChadPolenz (1845) - Lakeland, Florida, USA - AUG 15, 2017
2015 BJCP Category: 1D American Wheat Beer
AROMA: General wheat/sourdough bread scent but with no distinctive character. Not sweet. Not much hop presence. Slight tang. 8/12
APPEARANCE: Extremely hazy orange body (7-9 SRM). Fairly large off-white foam retains and laces well enough. 2/3
FLAVOR: First half is mostly malty-bready flavor. Not especially sweet, or even robust for that matter. Some orange citrus flavor emerges as the apex akin to sweet orangepeel (though likely due to American hops). Low bitterness with minor spicy bite. Brief starchy aftertaste but otherwise clean. Palette is a bit mild even for this style. 16/20
MOUTHFEEL: Medium body; medium-high carbonation. Texture is very soft and creamy with smooth finish. Refreshing. A bit too potent for the style (and consumer expectations) at 5.8% ABV. Should be more sessionable. 4/5
OVERALL IMPRESSION: Probably the Godfather of the style, though not exactly the best example of it anymore. 7/10
TOTAL SCORE: 37/50
