Pale orange with frothy white head. Lots of sediment. Decent lacing. Aroma is tart wheat with hints of sweetness. Flavor is light and refreshing but with a hint of imperfection in the balance. Overall, a good, refreshing wheat beer.

2015 BJCP Category: 1D American Wheat Beer
AROMA: General wheat/sourdough bread scent but with no distinctive character. Not sweet. Not much hop presence. Slight tang. 8/12
APPEARANCE: Extremely hazy orange body (7-9 SRM). Fairly large off-white foam retains and laces well enough. 2/3
FLAVOR: First half is mostly malty-bready flavor. Not especially sweet, or even robust for that matter. Some orange citrus flavor emerges as the apex akin to sweet orangepeel (though likely due to American hops). Low bitterness with minor spicy bite. Brief starchy aftertaste but otherwise clean. Palette is a bit mild even for this style. 16/20
MOUTHFEEL: Medium body; medium-high carbonation. Texture is very soft and creamy with smooth finish. Refreshing. A bit too potent for the style (and consumer expectations) at 5.8% ABV. Should be more sessionable. 4/5
OVERALL IMPRESSION: Probably the Godfather of the style, though not exactly the best example of it anymore. 7/10
TOTAL SCORE: 37/50

Unexpectedly good! Refreshing and smooth the way a good ale should be like. Solid all the way

Pint in Barcade NY. Hazy Amber, thin white head. Nose is toasted grains, musty, biscuit malt, clove, lemon. Condition not great. Watery, minerals, not much else. scotchzombie (594) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - JUL 25, 2017
Pours opaque golden orange with a fat and foamy white head. Aroma is mildly fruity + wheat grain. Taste is grain malts with a touch of mildly spicy hops. Very drinkable and well suited to repeat business on a warm day. Fantastic gateway beer for budding craft beer enthusiasts. Not memorable but a high quality product.

Bottle at Burrito Gallery, Jacksonville. Sweet base malt and zesty wheat aroma with a touch of lemon and no yeast character. Hazy dark gold under a white collar. Sweet base malt flavor with little bitterness and low zesty hops. Full body and almost sticky sweet. Moderate carbonation. seehaferb23 (276) - - JUL 11, 2017
This was tasted out hot a 16oz beer can by Cannery Row Beer Club. This was the most enjoyable beer of the night. Cheers!

First beer on ratebeer. Wasn’t really prepared to leave comments, but I do feel subtle spiciness as described by other reviewers. partchapol (132) - Ohio, USA - JUL 7, 2017
Smell of sweet, mild floral. Pale orange color with medium cream foam. Taste of refreshing hop with note of wheat and citrus. Somewhat bitter but with just right texture, not overly slimy. Good beer for summer. eRock_2013 (474) - South Carolina, USA - JUL 7, 2017
Thanks to my fellow SC beer scout Michael for sharing this nice wheat ale from Oberon! From a fresh bottle, pours a nice amber-orange haze with a long-lasting white foamy head. Aroma is a flavorful sweet and estery wheat, with a subtle hoppiness in the background, one of the more noticeably hopped wheat beers I have ever had. Taste is a mildly spicy and estery wheat with some sweet malt and a fruity hop aftertaste. The estery notes from the yeast are particularly fresh and complement the standard wheat baseline well. A highly recommended rendition of this style!
