Deep and dark, almost opaque with a ruby glow that tries to come through at the edges. Big mocha whipped cream head. Aroma of roast malt and dark caramel. Wonderfully smooth and thick palate delivers loads of coffee and chocolate. Very nicely done Porter.

bottle. pours a very dark brown with a deep beige head. sipped on this one after dinner and noticed hints of chocolate, coffee and maybe toffee as well. Very Nice. wish I had picked up more than just one bottle from the bottle shop.

Very dark clear black body with ruby edges. Very pleasing rocky tan head. Lacing is excellent. The aroma is quite smokey, roasted malt, coffee and generous hops. The flavor is big on coffee and roasted malt. The smokey, almost peaty maltiness comes through towards the end. Medium bitter throughout. Medum body with a bit of alcohol at the end. Nice porter.

Thick, creamy head. Nutty aroma. A lighter roasted flavor with a little less body than expected. A very smooth, drinkable porter. Better than most, but on par for Bellís.

Very dark brown coloured body, almost completely opaque with a medium-sized brown head with large bubbles. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, a light bit of chocolate and some fresh caramel. Medium-bodied; Nice full roasted malt flavour with a good coffee twang and some chocolate (a light touch of 50% cacao) in the taste. Aftertaste clean and very fresh-definately a good tasting & finishing porter! Overall, a damn good example of a porter (even over a year & a half old too) showing some dark roasty tastes, but finishing without bitterness or harsh flavours. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchantís in Dearborn, Michigan on 16-October-2004 (but purchased over a year & a half earlier by my mom--THANKS MOM!) on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Black with a small tan head. Aroma is of sweet chocolate, nuts, and coffee. Has a sweet chocolate taste that is complimented by roasted coffee notes. The malt character is solid in this brew. The chocolate flavor is pretty pronounced for a porter. Has a slightly bitter finish.
