Draft at Cottonwood - Looks exactly as it should, black with a sturdy beige head, heavy lace. Aroma is heavy on the coffee and cocoa powder, some vanilla and lots of roastiness. Doing well. Pretty creamy for a porter, I like it....a hair slick towards the finish but I enjoy the roasted coffee/chocolate maltiness throughout. A good drink.

Shared 12 oz. bottle. Pours a dark brown hue with a beige head. Aroma of dark malts, roast, coffee. Taste follows nose. Finish is perhaps a tad thin, but I think this is exemplary of the style.

Aroma: smoky with some chocolate; roasty; Appearance: pitch black with thin white head that dissipates slowly; Taste: follows nose; nice and roasty; Palate: heavy body with long finish; Overall: a nice porter; not too exciting but might get again.

Nice, rich aromas of dark, bitter chocolate, coffee grounds, and toast. Standard black body medium bodied and the tan head is leaving some nice lacing. Flavor follows the aroma with some hints of dark fruit occasionally popping up. Very solid well rounded porter, nice and easy to drink multiples.

Itís a good porter, but itís not very complex. Itís really just the malt, the coffee flavors werenít really there for me. It was somewhat smokey, but I kinda just wanted more. It was just a really balanced porter in the end.

(12oz bottle) AROMA: coffee, roasted nuts, dark chocolate, some herbs. APPEARANCE: deep dark color, brown head, reduces to oily film. TASTE: soft dark chocolate, roasted malt, some sweetness, some dry bitterness. PALATE: round and soft, some creaminess, medium bodied. comfortable. OVERALL: easy to drink porter. Nice balance. Not overly complex but delicious in what is offered.

Pours a dark brown with a thick tan foamy head. Light carbonation and lots of lacing. Aroma of lightly roasted malts with some dank hops. Fairly thin body. Slightly hoppy taste and a tad bitter. Flavor is not unpleasant but nat as robust as I expected. OK but not that great.

Bottle. Dark brown in color with a small beige head. Roasted coffee and chocolate in aroma, roasted malty vibes and some dark fruityness too. Feels soft and nice. Dry though. Coffee in taste, some hints of burnt wood as well. Later on dark and bitter chocolate steps up. Roasted notes with hints of licorice in finish. Pretty good.
