Very dark pour with a coffee aroma and taste right off the bat. There is also chocolate present. Very robust with a touch of smoke and considerably malty. It goes with lots of foods you may not consider a porter suited for. All around good performer.

12 oz bottle pours black with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and a little smoke. Taste is all the same as aroma, very nice.

Notes of bitter chocolate. A bit astringent but not in a good way. I enjoyed it much better when it was warm ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle @ Whole Foods - Black with small head, aroma of dark roast, Ovaltine, caramel, raisins. Taste was similar. Very thin & watery. Not much to get excited about but it was refreshing.

Idiosynkrasie (7726) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - AUG 20, 2017
355ml bottle. Opaque, darkest brown colour with average, late awakening, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Roasty, dark malty aroma, notes of coffee, roasted nuts, some cocoa, hints of toffee, weak smoky overtones. Taste is roasty dark malty, minimally bitter, notes of roasted nuts, coffee, cocoa. Super clean, well balanced and integrated, but lacks some intensity.

Bootlegger007 (243) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 19, 2017
As soon as the tops off, coffee, pours almost black with a small light brown head, the coffee aroma is strong and inviting, flavor matches but the sweet chocolate joins in along with some vanilla, leaving a pepper, spice bitter aftertaste, medium body creamy mouth feel, this is great.

mariuspoenari (2924) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - AUG 15, 2017
Dark brown pour with a short-lived beige head. Notes of coffee, chocolate, quite a bit of dark fruit, I think even some raspberry flavor, smoke, light roast. A very fruity porter, light and sessionable.
