Dark brown with small beige head. Roasty aromas of coffee and dark chocolate with a little licorice. The taste is smooth and subtle - dark chocolate, licorice and charred meat. Light bodied and very easy drinking. Very solid porter.

Flaska från Mikkellers webbshop. En välgjord, stiltypisk porter. Ganska lätt, mjuk, rund fylld av kaffe, choklad, lite russin. Bra balans, ganska snäll, gott.

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a rich black color with a dark brown hue and a very large creamy light tan head with great retention, lacing, and cling. Its aroma featured malty notes of caramel, toffee, and molasses, along with some earthy and grainy notes. The taste was sweet and malty with caramel, toffee, and light chocolate notes. It had a wet and creamy body with lower carbonation and a smooth character.

Very good porter IMHO. You will find a few better though. My only "complaint" with this one is it was a bit too much caramel malt taste. That’s just my personal opinion, as all my ratings are, so someone else may rave about it. Don’t worry...I would never turn this one down. :)
