Delicious. What you would expect from a porter. Great flavor, so drinkable. Will buy again. cavnar (12) - Pace, Florida, USA - JAN 12, 2014
I really like this. A nice basic porter, but sessionable with rich malt flavor and a clean aftertaste. Very good. BeerBeforeH20 (129) - Minnesota, USA - JAN 16, 2014
Dark near black pour with a khaki head. Aroma has great notes of smokines, malts, and chocolate. tatse is layered with notes of toffee, cocoa, coffee, and a smokey finish. Great porter ! Jamesthebrit (421) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAY 7, 2014
Aroma is lighter but smoky oaky. A little earthy. A little campfire.
Looks ok. A little light on the pour. Look darker brown in the glass.
This really is the most porter like beer I think I’ve ever had.... Lighter but has a nice smoky and metallic and oak note. The key here is the taste is sharp and finishes quickly rather than having a lingering grossness.
Palate is smooth. Lighter but still flavorful.
This is why I love beer and this is why I’m sad I moved from michigan. This beer is so on point.... Perfect for the style. Lighter but with great flavors. The epitome of what a porter should be.

Dark rich coffee with a slight sweetness. Slight ability to see through this brown beer with a lasting layer of head. Nice smooth rich roasted flavors slight sweetness.

While its coloring and ABV are definitely appropriate for a Porter, Bell’s Porter has a richness and depth that make it seem more like a Stout in many respects. It pours dark brown - creamy head. Toasted malt and vibrant cocoa aromas. Chocolate, coffee, rich roasted malt, and smoked malt flavors. Good balance between bitter and sweet. Bell’s seems to have a winner in about every style category. The unspectacularly named Porter is no exception. davegram (14) - - MAY 24, 2014
One of my absolute favorite porters, and I love my porters. Very smooth, malty, and rich. The finish stays with you (and I'm glad it does). ordybill (1815) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - JUN 25, 2016
Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is black with a small tan head. The aroma is your standard porter smell of roasted malt with a hint of coffee. The taste is matches the aroma with the exception of some chocolate added. A very good porter. beergearbox (58) - London, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 16, 2017
