A dark ale for all occasions. A blend of dark malt gives this beer flavors of coffee and chocolate with some smokey roasted notes.

Delicious. What you would expect from a porter. Great flavor, so drinkable. Will buy again.

I really like this. A nice basic porter, but sessionable with rich malt flavor and a clean aftertaste. Very good.

Aroma is lighter but smoky oaky. A little earthy. A little campfire. Looks ok. A little light on the pour. Look darker brown in the glass. This really is the most porter like beer I think I’ve ever had.... Lighter but has a nice smoky and metallic and oak note. The key here is the taste is sharp and finishes quickly rather than having a lingering grossness. Palate is smooth. Lighter but still flavorful. This is why I love beer and this is why I’m sad I moved from michigan. This beer is so on point.... Perfect for the style. Lighter but with great flavors. The epitome of what a porter should be.

While its coloring and ABV are definitely appropriate for a Porter, Bell’s Porter has a richness and depth that make it seem more like a Stout in many respects. It pours dark brown - creamy head. Toasted malt and vibrant cocoa aromas. Chocolate, coffee, rich roasted malt, and smoked malt flavors. Good balance between bitter and sweet. Bell’s seems to have a winner in about every style category. The unspectacularly named Porter is no exception.

One of my absolute favorite porters, and I love my porters. Very smooth, malty, and rich. The finish stays with you (and I'm glad it does).

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is black with a small tan head. The aroma is your standard porter smell of roasted malt with a hint of coffee. The taste is matches the aroma with the exception of some chocolate added. A very good porter.
