COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Born in a dream, Quinannan Falls Special Lager Beer refers to a mythical place in the boreal north. While the waterfall may exist solely in Larry Bell’s imagination, the beer he remembered drinking there is now quite real. Quinannan Falls possesses the crisp, dry bitterness you’d expect from a German pilsner, but the use of highly aromatic hops from the Pacific Northwest in both the kettle & dry-hop evokes the fragrant pine forests that inspired this beer.

Too much of a metallic bitterness for me. Probably the hoppiest lager I have ever had ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma offers resiny hop, yeasty and raw malt notes. It pours clear topaz with a thick eggshell head. Mouthfeel presents raw malt, resiny hops and crisp apple tones, a little bit bitter, indeed like the love child of a typical American lager and an IPA. Mouthfeel presents fairly firm and smooth body, not a lot of fizz. Fall for it.

Draft. Straw yellow in colour with strong carbonation. Aromas of grassy hop, pilsner malt, and faint conifer brush. Flavors are a mix of minerals, crusty white bread, hay, and very faint stone fruit. Light bodied and crisp considering the alcohol content. Tasty stuff.

Crisp lager. Full flavored and good body. Has some of the lagerish funk but it is balanced well by the dry hops. Light and refreshing but flavorful. Balanced lager with good flavors. I generally do not like lagers, but this is one of the better ones for sure. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Crisp saaz hop aroma with hints of pine sap. The body is a pale yellow, the cap is very thin but leaves some spotty lacing. Mouthfeel is thin and crisp from the carbonation. Flavor is grassy hops with touches of alcohol on the back side.

From a can purchased at liquor store: Pale yellow hue with light lacey head and a soft pine nose. Crisp carbonation. Taste is of pine and lemongrass with a crisp clean slightly bitter finish. I have only had 3 or 4 IPL’s, but if they are single hopped (this one uses Simcoe), I think the crisp taste can really accentuate the hop flavor and enhance the beer’s lager taste.
