Born in a dream, Quinannan Falls Special Lager Beer refers to a mythical place in the boreal north. While the waterfall may exist solely in Larry Bellís imagination, the beer he remembered drinking there is now quite real. Quinannan Falls possesses the crisp, dry bitterness youíd expect from a German pilsner, but the use of highly aromatic hops from the Pacific Northwest in both the kettle & dry-hop evokes the fragrant pine forests that inspired this beer.

35cl can - from Good Beer NYC. Pours a clear golden straw color with a tall white head. A touch of adjunct on the nose along with plenty of bread and biscuit malt. Some floral hops and a bit of lager yeast. The flavor is lightly sweet with some biscuit and bready malt. Good lager but nothing else really.

12 oz can. Packaged on 06/23/16. (Sicilianoís) Grand Rapids, MI.
Clear pale yellow color with a small white head. Grassy and candy hops, sweetness, some bitterness... well, not that much... and strawy maltiness in the aroma. Grassy hops, moderate bitterness, some candy sweetness, dryness, straw and malt in the flavor. I was trying to drink this at the Bellís Eccentric Cafe yesterday but they were run out...

Base: pale golden
Palate : soft, medium bodied, average length.
Taste: sadly it was tad too sweet, slightly chewy mid, Nice hop character, thankfully not overdone.

Really nice and crisp lager. Had nice floral hops over a strong malt backbone. Lots of character for a lager without straying too far from the style. Good stuff.
