COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Born in a dream, Quinannan Falls Special Lager Beer refers to a mythical place in the boreal north. While the waterfall may exist solely in Larry Bell’s imagination, the beer he remembered drinking there is now quite real. Quinannan Falls possesses the crisp, dry bitterness you’d expect from a German pilsner, but the use of highly aromatic hops from the Pacific Northwest in both the kettle & dry-hop evokes the fragrant pine forests that inspired this beer.

Pours light yellow and translucent. Tastes of mildly bitter hops. It’s light bodied with lively carbonation up front.

oobawa (1488) - Tennessee, USA - JUL 26, 2017
Decent hopped-up lager, with mild esters offset by a deep, lingering pine bitterness and hints of citrus. Apple-tinged semisweet middle is nice, but the hops seem somewhat overpowering, growing medicinal against the moderate lager notes. Pretty golden pour with a frothy white head and nice lacing. Nose is pinecone hops and lager yeast. Sparkly texture works for the style. Okay.

hman43 (1605) - Pinehurst, North Carolina, USA - JUL 23, 2017
It pours straw and is very clear. It has a white head that has moderate head retention. It has a balance in the aroma of grain and herbs. There are background notes of bread and earthly elements. It has flavors of grain, bread, herbs, and some earthen elements. The balance between the malt and hops is nearly even. It is very clean other all. It has a moderate body with a dry finish. Overall, it is a well balance lager that is clean and crisp with a dry finish.

jefcon (1878) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - JUL 8, 2017
A bitter, full and rich lager. Aromas of hay and hops, with a fine head and a great, crisp aroma. Some light malt and caramel, and more fresh-cut grass and lemon and orange slices. Pine hops on the palate are a light touch. This beer is drinkable, no matter how full and promising it is on the nose.

RedSox2004 (1909) - Pacific Palisades, California, USA - JUL 7, 2017
Hazy golden yellow with a modest bright white head and decent lace. Bright citrusy aromas with hints of grainy malt. Lemon, orange and wheat up front with spices and a solid honey-flavored malt backbone. Light body, soft mouthfeel, bright effervescence and a clean finish.

Can from AJ’s Beer Warehouse. Aroma of hay, cereal, and yeast. I’m not big on lagers, so this wasn’t for me.
