Pours bright red with small white head that quickly disapates. Minimal lacing. Aroma is fresh rasberries (at least I have to assume fresh as it rates as the most expensive draught at Eccentric/$5.25 for a 20 oz.). Flavor is too one dimensional. One was more than enough. Draft E-Day 05’. Brilliant red in color, minimal pinkish/white head. Decent raspberry aroma, seems extract like in a way though, kool aid? Flavor is all watered down raspberries. Easy drink, just really nothing going on though. ryan (3186) - Beltsville, Maryland, USA - AUG 25, 2006
Draft @ Maduro, GTMW pre-party. Slight haze, ruby body with pink head. The aroma is loaded with fresh, ripe raspberries. The flavor is mildly sweet and one-dimensionaly raspberries. Thin, slightly watery texture with a bit of seedy bitterness. StewardofGondor (1934) - Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 3, 2006
On tap at the Eccentric Cafe. Opulent safire / red in color and semi-translucent with no head, save a tiny grey rung at the rim of the goblet. Aroma expunges sweet fruit libation - red raspberries, red currant and boysenberry syrup. Tart red raspberries and a cardboard box undercurrent maintain the flavor. A touch thin and separated, but frozen raspberries are the leading ladies. Mild touch of juicy pomegranate kernels. Airy freesia suggestions help to lightly titillate the palate, along with modest effervescence. Finishes with rose blossoms, raspberry seeds and dewed cotton. My wife f’in loved it. On tap: Obvious aroma of raspberries. Transparent red with virtually no head. Flavor is light raspberry sweetness up front with a moderate tart raspberry and a hint of grassy bitterness in the finish. Very similar to the Founders Rubaeus.

2005 Eccentric Day. Pours a bright red juicy color with a light off white head. Nose is raspberry juice. taste is fizzy, raspberry juice like, sugary. Silphium (3199) - Traverse City, Michigan, USA - NOV 20, 2005
On tap at Bells (Eccentric Cafe). Red body, thin off-white head. Light aroma of raspberry syrup, the subtlety likely due to the cold temperature this was served at. Raspberry syrup flavor, sweet but not overtly so, and a bit tart, with light bready malts and earthy hops becoming especially apparent in the aftertaste. Medium-bodied. A better-than-average Raspberry Ale though nothing unique. jtw (1163) - farmington, Michigan, USA - DEC 12, 2004
eccentric day 2004 draft. gorgeous ruby, thin white-pink head. smells like the last raspberry of the season, just picked off the vine--dry as hell, literally vaporizes on your tongue. just like licking a raspberry, leaves your tongue feeling exactly like you had just rubbed a raspberry on it. there is alcohol in this?? festival tap: I admit that I walked to the front of the line to get this! Cloudy red with a huge raspberry and strawberry nose. Sour cherry flavor. One dimensional but refreshing. Real fruit flavor but I still think it has cherries in it as well. Inveigler (371) - Ferndale, Michigan, USA - JAN 6, 2004
A nice foray in the fruit beer category for Bell's -- although, with the Eccentric, they might have done that long ago. Nice haziness and some amber over tones. Vibrant tartness (agree with others that the flavor did often come off as "cherry"). This beer would be wonderful in the summer, but was a little like a fish out of water in the middle of winter.
