Draft to taster at the Eccentric Cafe. Looks good for the style; a transparent reddish-orange with white lacing. Smells of raspberries and wheat. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Alright. JaBier (8396) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - OCT 14, 2011

Appearance: Clear reddish color with a nice sized foamy pink head and good lacing left in the glass
Aroma: Fresh raspberries
Taste: Raspberry with some tartness
Very nice, dry finish
Bottle 148 of 495 thanks to womencantsail. Pours with a fluffy off-white head with a lightly hazed red body. Aroma of raspberry, sticky, sweet, a bit of wheat, seltzer. Flavors are extremely watery. Seltzer, wheat, raspberry and little else. Pretty clean too, no esters. A bit of a malic bite. Lively bubbles, dryish. A bit bland. Really seems like little more than raspberry and seltzer. Drinkable though. CaptainCougar (7634) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - NOV 18, 2007
On tap at Maduro prior to the 2007 GTMW: Pours a bright ruby red with a thin ring of white head. Aroma of fresh sweet raspberries and a touch of light maltiness. Body starts with a light fruity sweetness and good sweet tart balance toward a crisp finish. A nice fruit beer.

On tap at Maduro – GTMW pre-party. Poured a slightly hazy raspberry pink with not much sticking around for head. Aroma was of sweet, fresh raspberries all over the nose.. quite enjoyable with no artificial sweeteners noted.. not much else in there, but that was OK. Flavor picked up sweet and tart fresh raspberries from the core outward.. lightly bitter and sour raspberry seed impression surrounded the tongue beautifully, along with a touch of wheaty sours.. simple again, but tasty. Light-bodied and a touch grainy with nice balance.. very good, highly drinkable, refreshing summer brew. ClarkVV (6963) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 3, 2003
2003 Draft at Eccentric Cafe. Light cloudy pink with a nice pinkish white head. Has a very tart raspberry aroma with lots of yeast. Opens up with a medium-dry raspberry flavor (surprise!) and some dry yeast flavors work their way in as well. Has a hint of vanilla on the palate and a slight touch of very dry cream-like malt flavoring, though it is only a glimpse. Wow, if they only would have added more of this malt flavor, this beer would be a champion. Stays very tart and ends dry and mildly sour. I was very pleased to find this beer not sickeningly sweet as I find many other fruit beers to be. Well made beer. Medium-light body is not terribly impressive, but flavor is real enough. Obviously lacking in malt. 5000 (6900) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - FEB 6, 2013
Bottle #437/495 batch K10357:   Heavy pinkish hue, a little dirty and hazy, moderate fizzy head, lively carbonation, little lacing.   Raspberry aroma, faint, not artificial yet not terribly strong.   Smells real, just not "in your face" like New Glarus.   A bit more flavor than aroma, which is nice.   Feels like a pale wheat background with the aformentioned Raspberries.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate, a little spritzy.   Clean finish, soft Raspberries linger.   Not real bright, but not sour or tart.   Perhaps a little dry is all I would say.   Enjoyable, and very much reminds me of one of my summer favs as a youngster, Thomas Kemper Weizenberry. Weird looking beer with a unfiltered faded red hue and a small fizzy pink head which produced good lace. Aroma is raspberry, earthy yeast and toasted malt. Taste is very tart initially bit mellows out to a smooth mild ale finish. A bit too one-diminsional. Thin-bodied and watery. As the woman next to said "a chick beer". Pailhead (6543) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - DEC 10, 2005
On tap: Obvious aroma of raspberries. Transparent red with virtually no head. Flavor is light raspberry sweetness up front with a moderate tart raspberry and a hint of grassy bitterness in the finish. Very similar to the Founders Rubaeus.
