COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Substantial amounts of late-kettle hop additions and dry-hopping yields a heady blend of fruity aromas of pineapple, peach and citrus. Those aromas continue into a crisply bitter hop presence across the tongue, but the judicious use of toasted and caramel specialty malts prevents the hop intensity from overwhelming the palate. Locally sourced Michigan honey creates a smooth, dry finish that pulls everything together. The India Red Ale style is a variation on the IPA, but with more caramel and toasted malt character and a reddish hue. Roundhouse was first brewed at our original brewery in downtown Kalamazoo in 2009.

Draft at the brewery. Pours a bright clear amber color with a nice thick white head that lingered. Very piney hop aroma with some flowers, tropical fruit and caramel malt. Taste is great. Fresh pine and tropical fruit taste, great caramel malt backbone. Awesome IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Malty, rye-heavy, creamy bod with a bitter finish - no surprises, exactly what you'd expect from an IRA, but done well

On tap at Max's in Baltimore, pours a amber with light haze, frothy white head. Aroma, well... it's a hoppy amber. Grist and wet bread, cracker, pine, dried orange peel. Flavor has malt, black tea, yeast, orange, pine, soap. Medium bodied, dry finish.

Aromas are hoppy with pine and citrus flavors, though a bit muddy and hard to tease out more specific flavors. Also some mild caramel malt flavors. A large off-white head; amber color, perhaps with a slight haze. Taste is mildly sweet and fairly bitter. Medium body; average carbonation; oily texture; medium length finish that starts fruity and slightly sweet and ends with carbonation and hop bitterness. Overall a pretty good beer; I like the balance of the slight sweetness and the hops, though the hop flavors seem a bit indistinct and muddy.

(Can) Cloudy copper body with a medium light-beige, foamy head that leaves a thin layer of lace around the glass. Aroma is floral and citrus-fruity; moderately sweet and bitter hops notes; some bubblegum, toasted grain, herbs. Medium bodied (but on the full side). Flavor is more mild than the aroma: roasted malt, some honey and spices, grass; pretty mellow but very quaffable.

A little malt and rust. Light pine but not much else. Reddish brown pour with ok head. Light bitter finish. Matched well with spicy Laotian food like a cheap tuktuk ride. Tap at Khao Thip.

can - Amber pour. Hoppy aroma of pine and citrus with caramel malt. The flavor is nice and bitter with resin, citrus, and toasted caramel malt. Avoids the cough syrup taste I get from some red IPAs. Very tasty overall.
