COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Substantial amounts of late-kettle hop additions and dry-hopping yields a heady blend of fruity aromas of pineapple, peach and citrus. Those aromas continue into a crisply bitter hop presence across the tongue, but the judicious use of toasted and caramel specialty malts prevents the hop intensity from overwhelming the palate. Locally sourced Michigan honey creates a smooth, dry finish that pulls everything together. The India Red Ale style is a variation on the IPA, but with more caramel and toasted malt character and a reddish hue. Roundhouse was first brewed at our original brewery in downtown Kalamazoo in 2009.

Bells Roundhouse. Tap at Maduro pre party. Clear reddish brown with a two finger light beige head good retention. Pine sweaty citrus and some toasty malt. Flavor adds some spicy resin notes, low sweetness, bone dry finish, some alcohol noted, bitterness peaked at a 7. Medium body with light to mod smooth carbonation. 7-5-7-4-14--3.7

On tap @ Radio Maria. Red-orange, creamy off white head that retains nicely. Melon and papaya, some cooked pineapple, medium sweetness and medium bitterness. Nice and soft, very easy to drink.

Clear, copper color. Medium-sized, yellowish head . Caramel malt, honey and pine in aroma . Malt is on front in taste, with strong enough hoppy bitterness to balance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. hazy red-amber color with tan head. Aroma notes of caramel malt sweetness, fruity hops and light pine. Taste adds more resin/pine, toffee, honey, bread, grapefruit and black tea. Medium-heavy body, low-moderate carbonation, sticky, dry with caramel fruity finish.

Can. Pours a clear dark copper body with a one inch frothy beige head that left some sticky lacing. The nose is caramel and toasty maltiness with a piney hoppiness. The flavor is pretty balanced between the sweet toasty and caramel malt and the hop bitterness. The sweetness is a bit bigger up front, the bitterness outlasts on the back end. Light to medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Pretty tasty beer.

A very nice IPA. Pours red and has a light sweetness to it. Lots of tropical fruits and citrus and an aggressive bitterness.

It wasnít great at first - maybe I didnít score a super fresh one - but I grew to like it. A dash of caramel. Fairly muted hops - grass and pine - and you have to search for traces of the honey, but there is some in the finish. A good IPA.

Pours a clear dark reddish orange color with off-white colored head. Light fruits, pine, and a caramel maltiness on the nose; follows onto the palate. Full bodied. Finishes with light fruit, little pine and nice malt backbone.

Can - Pours a deep amber with large soapy off-white head. Aroma of citrus fruits, dark fruit, pine, hay and biscuit. Flavors of citrus fruits, dark fruits, cantaloupe, some mild vanilla, biscuit, and a decent balance of hops to malt for an IPA. Delicious.

Rated on 11-25-2016 at Black Dog Pub, Fort Wayne, IN. (Draft) The appearance is a tan head that is fully lasting, amber transparent body, no carbonation observed, and a good amount of lacing. The aroma presents citrus hops, grassy, fruity, and earthy. The flavor is bitter, citrus hops, fruity, and very grassy. The mouthfeel is moderate-heavy carbonation and this beer is medium-full bodied. A very good tasting beer as it comes together very well. It is worth trying and is a beer that I would definitely drink again.
