I was told by the bartender at Bells that this was a Scotch Ale...and drinking it threw me way off. But had it again the next day at lunch, knowing what it was, and really enjoyed it a lot more. Very hopped up brown with some caramel/toffee/and nuts...and the hopped up bitter finish. Very nicely done! patrick767 (4204) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - FEB 21, 2006
Tap - This beer poured a deep brown color with a thin head. This is a dry hopped brown ale and amid the typical malty aroma of a brown the hops was definitely there. The flavor was nicely balanced with a satisfying finish. This would make a good, solid session ale. Hollywoodt (240) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - FEB 19, 2006
On tap @ the Eccentric Cafe. Poured to a medium to dark brown. Good aroma and flavor. I’d have it again the next time I visit Kzoo.
