Aroma was a wild metallic. Appearance was orange with a nice white head. Taste was sweet but bitter, sour, metallic, wild. Definitely Belgian yeast notes. Palate felt thick and foamy.

Bottle at a BOSS meeting. Bottle number 384 of 1499 batch 11471. Pours a clear golden yellow with a thin head. Arab is apricots and malty caramel. Flavor follows. Fairly sweet. Very nice beer.

Bottle huge thanks from the super bowl squares! Bottle number 393 of 1499 batch no. 11471 Bottled September 21st, 2012 so a bit old. Pour has an orange golden color with a thin cap of white head that pulled back to a ring on the glass. Aroma has sweet malt, fruits, dusty hops, and some herbs. Mouth feel is medium with hefty coating and lower side carbonation. Flavor has a big sweet malt base, candi sugar, underlying sweet fruit, Belgian yeast, banana, mild aged hops, and some heat into the finish. This is a big sweet beer that warms you as it goes down and even with a little age on it is very enjoyable.

UPDATED: AUG 20, 2014 Tap: Vibrant gold; nearly opaque from the unfiltered haze. Volatile, with a large & fluffy white head that leaves large lace chunks behind. Aroma is full of Belgian yeast. Coriander, clove, some banana-like esters, pears, semi-tart apple skins, and some finishing white pepper spice. Highly carbonated, almost evaporates from the palate. Undertones of earth & bread with lots of clove, rotten banana, and bubblegum from the yeast, lightly sweet. Some mild pears, white grapes, and even apricots in the background. Pours with a plain white head that settles over a cloudy orangey/amber liquid. Some very slight sulfury notes in the nose that are whisked away by a nice fruity-yeasty aroma. it’s a stunning mix of Belgian candi sugar, tropical fruits, sweet chewy malts, bitter hops and alcohol. You can actually taste each individual flavor component here, ultra-complex and delicious! It finishes as awesome as it began: kick-ass bitter, fruity and potent.
