This is one awesome stout. I canít wait for winter, just so I can buy a six. Perfect for a Michigan freeze.

Bells sure knows how to brew a stout, this one is no exception. Thick but smooth, sweet but balanced, coffee, toffee, vanilla cocoa and roasted malt with alcohol on top. Very nice creation.

Beer is full of malty chocolate. Tastes like a thick creamy chocolate malt shake beer. Absolutly delecious, but i couldnít drink much as it weighs really heavy on the stomach.

smells like a chocolate stout right from the pour! Very dark. Beautiful aroma. smells of choco, heavy roasted malt. Smeet malt at first. with a roasted coffee bean finish. Creamy, chewy texture but not heavy.

This is a good stout. It looks great in the glass; opaque black with a large tan, tiny bubbled head. Full bodied yet smooth on the tongue. Nice roasted malt flavor that coats the mouth with malt sweetness followed the hops which left a slightly bitter aftertaste.

UPDATED: APR 4, 2010 Bottle from trade with Ross Thanks! Nose of chocolate and malt with a tiny vanilla note; opaque ebony with cherry highlights; chocolaty malts in the flavor with some raosted nut and coffee notes and a tiny bit of hops join some chocolate in the aftertaste. 7/31/2006 8/4/8/4/16 4.0 12 oz bottle from msante79. Nose of dark chocolate, toasted bread, and some raosty coffee. Black with yellow brown edges and a small, lightly lacing cinnamon tan head. Flavor is lightly sweet, coffee, a little slightly sour milk, and roastiness. Body a little thin.

UPDATED: JUL 30, 2006 Deep brown color with a sweet aroma. A sweet malt flavor with a medium body. Very smooth and mildy creamy.Light chocolatey roasted maltiness, this pleasantly lingers on the palate. This is another fine beer from Bells Brewery.

Pours a dark black with a brownish kahki head. A mild chocolate and sugar arome. The flavor is a very mild stout with light malts and hints of chocolate while being exceptionally smooth. It has a mild roasted nut aftertaste. Pleasant.

Pours a dark, dark brown with a small tan head that vanished quickly. Pleasant chocolate and molasses aroma. Great taste of chocolate and malt with a bit of coffee. Incredible creamy, smooth finish makes this one of my favorites.

From 12oz Botte, #7186. Pours a deep roasted brown color with a healthy layer of malt ball colored head. A wave of vanilla wafer cookie is the first aroma sensation to greet my nose, followed by some milk and oreo cookie, complete with the white sugar goodness thats sandwiched between the light chocolate layers. The flavor delivers exactly what the name promises, sending a splash of the creamy treat over my tongue. Plenty of light toasted malt characters are whipped together in a tasty froth thats a bit more interesting and lip smacking than the aroma. This is almost the way I would envision an unsweet símore could taste, but with a smidgen of lightly roasted coffee at the finish. Lovely after dinner treat.
