330ml bottle - thanks martjoobolut
Rather nice porter roast aroma, some graininess. Lovely roasty taste, some mellow coffee aspect, pleasant huskiness. Super drinkable palate - full, but not heavy. Lovely dry bitter hops in the finish. The US is still absolutely nailing the porters. But this isnít sweet, itís really well attenuated, just how I like it.

Black with a large creamy tan head, Aroma is roasted malt, some caramel, roasted ground coffee, salty licorice, coffee, toffee, dark chocolate, hints of ink, vanilla and ash. Finish is light sweet with some toffee notes and hints of vanilla, dry roasted bitterness with cocoa, roasted coffee, some ash notes with a very light earthy note, some salty hard licorice notes. Nice, has that finishing sweetness the Kalamazoo stout was lacking and a bit creamier mouthfeel.

This beer was available on draft on mad for mex which tends to ruin beers so perhaps it could be better. Very smooth stout with decent roastiness. Actually some aroma which is a welcome addition. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
