Excellent beer. It is very malty and creamy, but not quite as heavy as a Guinness. There is no roasted bitterness, yet it is still malty.
UPDATED: NOV 16, 2017 Pours dark with a rich head. Aroma is chocolate and roast. Taste is chocolate and coffee with a hint of vanilla. A solid stout. ttutony (944) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 12, 2017
Deep dark brown with an offwhite head. Slight sweetness but not overwhelming. Nice roasted malt to balance things out. Full body but not overdone. Mattseward (25) - - NOV 11, 2017

12 oz bottle. Pours deep brown with an average tan head. Aroma slightly roasted malt, chocolate and coffee notes. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry and with bitter notes. Murrow (111) - Kirkwood, Missouri, USA - NOV 1, 2017
Pours black with luxurious light brown head. Mild aroma. Coffee, chocolate, tart fruit. A little sweet up front, but not at all cloying. Dark malt with a mix of roasty bitterness and sweetness on the finish. Nice carbonation, accentuates the flavors. Creamy texture. Nicely balanced sweet stout.

Black with brown edges, bubbly beige head. Chocolate, lacto, coffee, raisin nose. Smooth and silky... Fresh cocoa, coffee grounds, a nice clean nuttiness. A no nonsense take on the style, straightforward and a nice beer. mmillspa (6) - Baltimore, - OCT 17, 2017 does not count
An outstanding stout. Pours dark with light tan head that lingers. Aroma of dark malts, nutty and dark chocolate. Perfect carbonation gives it a full, creamy mouth feel. Tastes of espresso, walnut, dark chocolate and faint sassafras root (or anise) bit not at all "syrupy." Great finish. I love this beer. brandon1989 (692) - Lewisville, Texas, USA - OCT 17, 2017
Pours a very dark brown but not quite black color with a thick creamy tan head that left some nice lacing around the glass. The aroma is very sweet, milk chocolate, cold roasted coffee, lots of chocolate, brown bread, lactose sugar. The flavor is very similar to the aroma with the coffee and nuttiness more prevalent but the chocolate is still there. The mouth feel is quite and smooth.
