A fine stout. Smooth, with a chocolate/coffee taste. Drank half and had the other half with chocolate ice cream. WOW!

12oz bottle. Pours a dark reddish-black with a thin mocha-colored head. Aroma is sweet and spicy, with smells of caramel, molasses, chocolate, syrupy hops, and spices. Taste is creamy and full, with a strong but not overpowering taste of caramel and roasted malt giving way to a long finish of chocolate and coffee. A marvelously balanced and creamy stout.

I donít know what the design on the label is ...looks like a neuron ? But what I enjoy about, or say intrigued about this beer is the finish. Itís like a Tootsie Roll or butterscotch candy stick, but not overwhelmingly so (perhaps it would be a good pairing). fuzzy mouthfeel, mildly sweet and dry, aroma of burnt sugar, molasses, Sherlock Holmes. Appearance brown/black, cloudy, frothy, tan head finger high, dissipates after a minute, a bit trasparent on the sip, not a heavy fuel, yum

Pitch black and incredible smooth and unctuous. I was drinking this with other stouts so any aromas or nuanced flavors were really lost for me. Disappointing but I would like to try this again on its own.

Nice sweet chocolate aroma. Chocolate and coffee flavor with a nice mouthfeel. Sweet chocolate and roasted finish. This is a pretty good sweet stout.

Bottle at home from GBBF. Clear dark brown pour with ruby highlights, medium beige head that sinks, leaving some lacing. Complex roast and chocolate aroma, toasted nuts. Sweet milky chocolate initially, followed by dry roast and more toasted nuts, touch of acidity, cocoa, some hop bitterness. Fairly full body, softish carbonation, creamy texture, long bitter chocolate and hop finish. Really solid stout this, great complexity for the ABV and great drinkability considering how big it feels. Do Bells brew bad beers?

Bottle, dark brown with red tones, minimal head with medium lacing, smells of malt, chocolate, and some earthy tones, taste is sweet at first, mild hint of fruity bitterness at beginning, chocolate takes over and ends with mild earthy notes. i like it.

Lovely opaque dark brown/black pour with about a 1/2 inch of soft creamy tan head that eventually dissipates to thin coverage and leaves streaky, spotty lacing. On the pour, the aroma is understated; roasted malt with a hint of sweet cream. Flavor balances toward dry and roasty with hints of expresso and bakers chocolate. Palate is full-bodied, smooth and somewhat chalky with moderate, soft carbonation. Delicious.
