Got Stout? (173) - Wisconsin, USA - MAY 17, 2005
I am in love with this beer. Typical malty / roasty aroma that is fitting for a Stout. But the drink! Holy Almighty Roast! Bang, like a bag of roasted coffee beans was just thrown in your general direction at a high rate of speed with the intention to take your head off. Super, super burnt carmel and toffee. Then, just as quckly as it came, the flavor dissapears into a mildly roasted flavor of... Graham Crackers? Good stuff!

Black with tan head. Malty aroma with slight chocolate. Very smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Flavor is malty, chocolate/coffee and mild. Dry finish. This beer got better upon the second and third tastings.

Pours very dark brown with a bubbly tan head that fades rather quickly. Aroma is very chocolately and reminds of hershey syrup with some roastiness as well. Flavor is dark chocolate with roasted malts and coffee and some lactose. Very smooth mouthfeel but slightly thinner than expected. Very easy to drink.

Bottle - Pours thick and deep dark brown with very thin dark tan head that vanishes almost immediately. Aroma is sweet malty chocoalte. Palate is silky smooth with medium thickness. Taste is roasted black coffee with bitter chocolate on the finish. Another very good stout from Bells.

Chocolate, roasted coffee, and light resin in the aroma, this stout pours deep brown. The tan head recedes slowly, yielding flavor that fits the aroma. The body is medium, with a creamy slick texture. A very enjoyable seasonal stout.
