Draught, 6.1%. Roasted aroma, sweet and salty liquorice. Black colour. Good stable brown head. The flavour is milder but fuller than the aroma. Good mild coffee note with only a little bitterness. Very creamy flavour and mouthfeel. Really good and well-balanced.

Bottle numbered 8150. Dark brown/black color with a tan smear for head. Aroma of dark toasted malt, and something like vanilla. Near medium body with mild, smooth carbonation. Flavor is dark toasted, near burnt, malt with coffee and a touch of vanilla. Then it seems more like anise, and sucking on dark chocolate. The finish is nearly dry, and bitter like baker’s chocolate. Now the body seems fuller. This is strangely variable stuff. Tastes really good.

Scopey (15753) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 3, 2013
On draft at the new growler joint in Savannah. It pours darkest brown with a small tan head. The nose is light roast, toast, rich chocolate, caramel, sugary coffee and cake. The taste is smooth, mellow roast, earth, chocolate, caramel, cocoa powder, lactose and coffee with a bitter-sweet finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not a whole lot if depth, but very tasty and drinkable.
