Bottle #526 from batch 1 opened up at the 2015 Ottawa Year-end celebration. Overall a very nice, dry flanders: dark mahogany with a thin off white film for head, fairly tart with some cherries, oak, lemon, slightly chewy toffee malt, moderate carbonation and body, nice long dry finish that highlights the cherries, oak and tartness. Bottle: Poured a reddish color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of brown sugar, oak and tart notes is pretty interesting. Taste is a mix of brown sugar, some tart notes with plenty of oak and cherry notes with limited acidity. Body is about average with good carbonation. Solid Flanders Red from a brewery that is not necessarily known for these style of beers. rejtable (2674) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 24, 2015

Tap. Deep darker amber brown. Lots of sourness up front, balsamic, tart cherry, leather and oakiness int he aroma. Puckering at first with tart cherry, slight vinegar, and rounds out smoothly into a woody, vinous and cherry finish. Lighter to medium body.
