Had on draft at green well pub in GR. Pours a nice clear amber, medium head. Aroma is big hoppy citrus with fruit and alcohol. Wonderful. Flavor is hop up front with fruit and malt later. Big beer, big mouthfeel. Aftertaste is alcohol and hop bitterness. Great beer. OnWisconsin (132) - Wisconsin, USA - NOV 4, 2012
Absolutely incredible. Best beer as of yet. Perfect color of light ruby red and about 1 finger of head from the tap. Aroma was the perfect DIPA of pineapple and grapefruit with just a hint of caramel malt. Taste was everything blended perfectly from the aroma. Hop presance was perfect. Very smooth and not one hint of the 11% was detected. Let it warm up a little and it will be even better!

Draft at Jerry’s. Orange-amber with big, creamy, beige head / Rich nose of caramel, cut pine, weed, and citrus / Medium to full body, lush and creamy, sweet, big malts make this only moderately biting with beautiful balance, and lightly bitter finish / Flavors of caramel, cut pine, orange, grapefruit / Just great, with a superb body. iugrad93 (265) - Indiana, USA - OCT 13, 2012
UPDATED: OCT 19, 2012 Wow. Was I surprised. This is so much better than I expected. More of a DIPA than a red with the citrusy hops that provide a great grapefruit aroma. Well done, Bell’s. jmagnus87 (2912) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - DEC 5, 2012
12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a lightly cloudy dark amber with a light red hue. Aroma of citrus and pine hops with a good bit of caramel and toffee. Taste is heavily bitter and medium sweet. Loads of pine and grapefruit wiht a heavy dose of caramel. Full bodied with a thick and sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a long long finish. Overall, awesome! Ill srink this any and every day.

Had this at the 2013 World Expo of Beer and this was my personal "Best of Show." A huge and richly complex brew of a beautiful orange color, Bell’s knocked this one out of the park. I’ll be looking for more of this in bottles. Awesome. DoublEE (782) - South Euclid, Ohio, USA - OCT 8, 2012
This beer is an imperial amber to commemorate Bell’s 11,000th batch with the name being a reference to the movie Spinal Tap.Good looking imperial amber. The nose is big and complex. Plenty of sweet malt, some cherry, a slight oakiness, some onion (Warrior hops?), and a touch of alcohol. The flavors too, big and malty. Flavors are sweet and slightly fruity, again with the sweet cherry character. As you continue to drink the hoppiness increases and the alcohol presence lessens, increasingly drinkability. Overall I thought this was a really nice imperial amber. Steasy66 (1158) - Minnesota, USA - OCT 9, 2012
Amber color, big off white head. Huge floral and tropical aroma. Flavor is sweet with big tropical hop flavor, really nice. Body is a bit thick, good carbonation. Bells hit the jackpot with this one, really nice beer.
