Tap at Rochester Tap Room. Pours deep cherry red color, white head. Aroma is cherry, slightly tart, bourbon, toffee. Flavor is cherry syrup, bourbon, caramel, toffee. Sweet. Too sweet. Wouldn’t revisit.

Poured from 32 oz. "Crowler" can. The beer was listed simply as "Bell's Third Coast w/cherries, 11.6%." However, it appears to be the same as Bell's Traverse City Cherry. Opaque, deep dark brown with a 2 mm khaki head and fair lacing. Aroma of toffee, dark cherries, whiskey and vanilla. Taste of brown sugar, caramel, sweet dark fruit, cherries, whiskey and oak. Medium/full body and medium/high carbonation. The description sounded great, but the beer is nothing special. It has plenty of flavors, but their blending seems less than the sum of the parts. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Hunah Day. Pours a cloudy copper with medium off white head that lasts. The aroma is cherry malt, bourbon, and candy sugar. Medium body, tart cherry, bourbon, caramel, toasted malt, very good.

draft sampler is tea colored beer with little to no head. this was one big disappointment. I got very little cherry in the nose or in the flavor. it was just an aged mess of nothingness really. if this is a barley wine it was very weak indeed. just not a fan of this one at all.

Amber pour with no head or lacing. Aroma is too weak with nothing really standing out. The taste is clean and a little too smooth for the style. Just an ok beer for me!

March 12, 2016 - on tap at Rare Beer Fest held in the Minnesota History Center. Brown pour with bubbly head. Cherry and whiskey in the aroma and taste.

Tasting pour at Hackney’s Printers Row. Whiskey and cherry on the aroma. Quite tart. Dried fruit and oxidized sherry notes as well.

arminjewell (9584) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - JAN 21, 2016
Pour on tap at Crunchy’s, dark brownish red pour with thin off white head, aroma brought notes of oak, dark fruit, caramel, molasses, hints of slight cherry notes with a spicy, nutty note, hints of cocoa powder as well. Taste was a mix of dark cherry, dark fruit, caramel, slight toasted bread, some nutty notes into spice, slight chocolate, finishing fairly sweet, slight booze.
