September 2017 - Keg at Beavertown Extravaganza. As 'Bell's Traverse City Cherry Third Coast Old Ale'. Reddy, ruby pour, translucent and still with a foamy off-white head. Aroma is resinous, syrupy, toffee. Cherry doesn't show up too much here. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste has the expected cherry, tangy red berries, little syrupy, spiced papery finish. OK stuff. (6-4-7-4-14=3.5)

Sampled from the tap at GTMW 2017. Pours a clear amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of whiskey supported by cherry, toffee and caramel notes. Flavor is also whiskey forward with some sweet grains, caramel, toffee and a bit of cherry coming through in the finish.

On tap @ Beavertown Extravaganza. Could be this was a Cherry edition that is yet to be added to RB... hard to say. Pours cloudy copper with flat white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee and butterscotch. Taste is sweet, somewhat boozy, light medicinal bitter finish. Light to medium bodied and smooth with soft carbonation.

This is a monster beer. Dark reddish? With barely any head. Basically no aroma. Dry; boozy; cardboard box and earthy. Prune and bitter. I'm having a hard time appreciating it. Draft pour at Hopcat in Chicago, 5oz snifter.

Bottle. It poured a dark reddish brown with a quickly dissipating off-white head. Aroma of caramel, dark fruit, vanilla and of course bourbon. The abv was quite noticable.

Bottled. Pours murky brown. Aroma of dates. Lots of booze with malt sweetness. Lovely.

minutemat (6373) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - FEB 1, 2017
355ml bottle from Beer Gonzo as ’Third Coast Old Ale’. Pours deep amber, small off-white head. Caramel nose. Taste is super rich, syrupy barley wine territory. Caramel in abundance with some alcohol heat. Bit too full-on for my delicate palate.

Draft. An amber beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of caramel, hops, as well as a bit of brett and wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, caramel, malt, brettanomyces, and hops, leading to a dry finish.

mkel07 (6574) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JAN 7, 2017
010117. Bottle from Brewski. This is a heavyweight beer that looks thick and foreboding when poured from the bottle to the glass. It is a dense honey colour with a modest head and a bit of weight to it. Aromas of vanilla, butterscotch and caramel. This is a beer that ou cannot rush.

3.5
Beerandhockey8 (445) - Three Forks, Montana, USA - JAN 2, 2017
12oz bottle to snifter. Our is a dark ruby color, thin white head. Nose is grainy, large yeast, resin. Taste is medium-heavy body, sour and bitter. Finishes sharp
