Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of grass, white fruit, biscuit, bread, hints of vanilla, touch of orange, slight clove. Taste was a mix of grass, clove, biscuit, bread, hints of white fruit, finishing slightly boozy. coyotehunter (698) - , Michigan, USA - SEP 11, 2015
Funky barn aroma. Lots of horse smell. A little grass. Pour is milky yellow, good head. Flavor is banana, hay, funk, maybe a little cream... Palate is a bit sharp... Kind of stabs the throat. Fair to medium. b3shine (9073) - Indiana, USA - AUG 22, 2014
Draft to taster at Eccentric Cafe. Looks solid; a transparent gold with white lacing. Smells solid too; floral and fruity with a nicely balanced Belgian yeast presence. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. A solid example of the style. Dfonorow (2250) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 20, 2014
On tap at Bells. Pour is medium orange/yellow with a small white head. Aroma and flavor of spice, lemon, clove, banana, pepper, and slight citrus. Drinkable, but not great. tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - AUG 20, 2014
Tap @ Bells: Golden, honey colored body with a moderate haze; a foamy, white collar clings hard to the edges of the glass. Aroma filled with botanical notes, floral vibes, bready yeast, mild honey, & some spicy white pepper. There’s a slight medicinal quality but it isn’t too hindering or overbearing. Taste is quite spicy, lots of yeast. White pepper, mild phenols, clove; astringent Belgian yeast, almost giving off a spiciness that’s reminiscent of rye bread or caraway. Some rosy, floral notes jump around adding a touch of earthy bitterness to each sip. Estery, yeast filled finish. A decent tripel but I think Sparkling Ale is the superior Bell’s tripel.

Draft sampler, medium orange pour. Belgian yeast and banana in the aroma. Taste is pretty sweet with yeast, banana and citrus. bwa5879 (956) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - AUG 5, 2014
Really pale brown, very clear pour with a thin layer of dense white head, dense erratic lacing. Sent is light, similarities to apple juice, some sour malt, bright clove, grassy. Light carbonation, thick thick mouthfeel, very clean finish. Great muted taste - lemon, banana, slight white pepper, wheaty with some definite cloves. Very good and smooth tripel that’s slightly astringent. Mark_Eck (1998) - - AUG 4, 2014
Draft. Pours a cloudy reddish copper color. Aroma and taste are spicier than most tripels. Fairly light and easy to drink.
