Pours gold into a shaker. Pine and citrus aromas. Clean, crisp and hoppy. Lasting hop finish. Jvittorio4187 (255) - Boardman, Ohio, USA - APR 22, 2007
Awesome. This beer has an awesome floral aroma with a huge amount of hops. Great lingering finish. JonR888710 (999) - Cochabamba, BOLIVIA - APR 21, 2007
*********BEER 800***********Cloudy golden-orange body with a full, 2mm thick head of white uneven-sized bubbles. Smells of sweet hops, sugars, apricot, pear and faint peppermint. Mouth feel is thin like a cold glass of water, but never watery. Taste is cold crisp and big, full-on assault of citric hops, pine needles, caramel, transitioning to leather and biscuit dough. After is alcohol and bitter pine hops. This beer is very linear, with the taste being even and transitioning perfectly. Well-made, well-executed, well-controlled. Picked this up for a bargain at Whole Foods for $1.59/single. VegDisc41 (42) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 20, 2007
Bottle. Cloudy orangy amber color with a frothy white head. Hops and oranges in the nose and more in flowery in the taste. Mouthfeel was good. One of my favorites. masonjer (609) - Holt, Michigan, USA - APR 20, 2007
UPDATED: JAN 4, 2008 I’m not a big hophead, but even I can get into this beer. Great price and a very nicely balanced beer. Nice hops and malts playing off each other. Very good brew. Must try for an IPA lover.
re-rate: After aquiring a bit more of a taste for hops and tasting a lot of other IPA’s, I have to say this is definitely one of my favorites. It only gets better on tap. More floral and spicy. Delicious.

UPDATED: APR 27, 2007 Bottle: Pours with a cloudy orange body...Nice frothy head off-white head and excellent lacing. Highly seductive aroma. Extremely well balanced beer. An amazing brew to enjoy any time. Another great beer from Bells. DeweyDell (159) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 16, 2007
UPDATED: MAY 10, 2007 12 oz bottle. Side by side tasting with Three Floyds Alpha King. Pours a pretty golden-orange color with nice lacing. Smells citrusy, hoppy and sweet. Taste is very smooth... not as hoppy as the Alpha King, more balanced. A bit more carbonated, but still feels smooth in the mouth. BrewTownBill (9) - USA - APR 15, 2007 does not count
The smell alone is reason enough to buy this IPA. The floral aromas are amazing and the taste backs it up. Very hoppy, but I feel still balanced. Probably my favorite IPA out there right now. With the head stuck around longer, that’s the only points I’m taking away. hoppymeal (38) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - APR 15, 2007
Pours a light copper to gold color with a creamy head that dissipates quickly. Smells of light caramel mixed with the scent of mouth watering sweet floral hop goodness. Taste is at first citrusy with grassy-ness with strong bitterness that lingers on the tongue with a very slight alcohol warmth. Nice medium to full bodied mouthfeel. My memory of this beer was more balanced but in reviewing it today the hop bitterness was very prominent. A solid IPA from Bell’s that I am sure I will drink many more of.

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2007 Maybe my favorite APA/IPA after Alpha King -- not too hoppy, just perfectly balanced with hops and bitters. I could drink a 6 pack of this on a nice summer day. The Centennial hops are nice change of pace from the typical Cascade/Amarillo/Simcoe IPAs out there.
