12 oz bottle into a Tulip glass. Thanks to asteele8 for this one! This one pours a beautiful hazed and clouded golden orange with a retentive white head that succombs to the rim of the glass. The aroma is exactly what I love out of a well crafted IPA: pines, pineapples, grapefruit citrus, a bit of honey, and bread. The flavor starts off sweet with a bit of malt and then gets progressively more IPA from there. Pine needles, lots of grapefruit citrus notes, a bit of oranges, and bitter hops continue to glow on the palate all the way through the finish. A tiny bit of yeast is present in the body. A very velvety feel in the mouth, this one is moderately carbonated, but SMOOTH at the same time. A nice hop presence lingers on the palate for a good moment after the sip. A seriously damn good IPA here folks! xav33 (313) - Midland, MI, Michigan, USA - DEC 24, 2006
Bell’s Two Hearted Ale
12 oz bottle
Packaged 11/06, fished out 12/06
Moderate pour in a tulip glass.
Poured a clear amber with an average white frothy somewhat lasting head with layered rings of lacing denoting my sip timeline.
Smelt of strong oily pine resin, grapefruit rinds, fish, light peaches, strawberries, and sweet bread.
Taste was upfront medium strong bittersweet spruce and moderate bitter and sour grapefruit followed by a moderate bitter and skunky and fishy resin taste on a long peach and spruce finish. Palate was medium bodied, creamy, softly carbonated, and lightly astringent.
Overall, a very satisfying soft yet hearty IPA. Excellent flavors, and well balanced in its flavor profile. I’ve nothing bad to say really. It’s just good. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 23, 2006
(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of GoBlue. Fairly light amber golden with a creamy, off-white head. Fresh, citrusy aroma with some pine needles. Medium body with some caramel and a distinct, perfumy aroma hoppiness. Solid bitterness in the finish. A nice IPA. 191206 JJClark (551) - Roscoe, Illinois, USA - DEC 22, 2006
Bottle. Pours a cloudy orangish color with a fat off white jead. Aroma is sweet and piney from the hops. Taste of hops and citrus that starts slightly bitter but finishes with a bit of fruity sweetness. A nice all around beer!

Bottle. Cloudy golden colour with a little white head. Aroma of sweet malt and little hoppy with notes of pines, floral and parfume. Flavour of malt with notes of pine-like, very well hopped. High carbonation. Ends with a pleasent bitter finish.

fine beer. the first sip I wasn’t sure I would like it as much as I do. the citrus flavors are strong, but mellow(not actually, but in taste) after awhile. doesnt feel heavy in the stomach. quality. $9 for six. kenoshakid (6) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - DEC 20, 2006 does not count
Tap and bottle. Looks like a murky lake with the sunn shining on it. Tastes like a mixture between a flower and fruit garden. Though it’s been said already, it’s a very well balanced beer that goes down smooth with a strong grapefruit aftertaste. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - DEC 19, 2006
(Bottle) Pours an orangy tan with a large white head. Nice hoppy aroma, with more citrus than I expected. Lemon and grapefruit notes really shine through in this beer. Dry and moderately bitter. Full mouthfeel. A good offering from Bell’s. frizzzzle (76) - Overland Park, Kansas, USA - DEC 18, 2006
Pours a light yellowish brown with a small, white head that lingers. Aroma is strong and hoppy, with herbs. Parsley and grass, smells delicious. The flavor is a lot more subdued, but still very hoppy, with grapefruit and orange at the front. There’s some earthy herbal flavor as sips go through, and the beer finishes with more grapefruity bitterness. This brew is spectacular. Pungent, hoppy aroma, and smooth, drinkable flavor. mephisto (1288) - TAIWAN - DEC 17, 2006
light orange color with grapefruit like aroma. it’s hugely hoppy but well balanced.
