India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

Golden amber appearance with slight head retention and attractive lacing. Large nose, showing floral notes and sweet hops. Full crisp mouthfeel, well-balanced hop profile, grapefruit and minerals, ending in a medium, clean finish. Very enjoyable IPA.

Hazy golden IPA with a thick creamy white head. Floral C-hops with nutty maderized malt in aroma. In mouth, a fragrant IPA with earthy citrus, a biscuitty malt, light mint notes, lingering hops covering the mouth. A very nice IPA from a trade with Piscator, Nov. 2005.

I love this ipa. i can always buy and never be disappointed. Aroma is west coast hop with some pale malt underneath. Flavor is beautiful sweet citrus, very orange. Finish is a nice dry bitterness. There are no holes in this taste solid all the way. Everything i want in a base IPA.

bottle. batch 7397. Aroma: Hops grab hold of my nose and donít let go. Citrus (more orange than grapefruit). A nice floral aroma thatís more fresh flowers than perfume or potpurri. Also getting a great piney aroma reminiscient of walking through an old-growth pine forest. Fresh and clean. Underneath all that is a sweet malt aroma that peeks out invitingly. Appearance: Light orange and hazy. Head was white and huge. Lingered a good long time, too. Nice lacing. Flavor: Orange, honey, spice, and floral hop flavors all come through together. The maltiness in the middle is moderately sweet with notes of caramel. The bitterness is good, not too agressive but does its job. Getting some nice grass notes in the aftertaste. Palate: medium-light bodied. Moderate carbonation. Finish was medium dry. Some alcohol warming on back of tongue. Overall: A great IPA and easy to drink to boot. Everything works together well.

Two hearted bells is a good. I always compare which I know I should not do but it is not as tasty as the Stone IPA or Titan IPA good but Bells has better beers.

Bottle courtesy of Daalamar: Poured a light orangey color ale with a huge foamy head with great retention. Aroma of floral hops is quiet enticing with a great semi-sweet malt base. Taste of crisp and citrus hops are well mixed with a nice solid sweet malt based. Carbonation is lively and body is about average. Overall a really good example and enjoyable take on the style thought a bit overrated in my opinion.

Once again, this just makes me frustrated that I canít get Bells in my area. Smell is incredible, looks so clean and pure, and that great hoppy taste is delicious. Flavor isnít anything unexpected, itís just done perfectly. Having had this and the Stone IPA in the same week, I am in hop heaven.

Yum. I would have never figured trout to taste so damn good. Hop loverís rejoice. This fits the bill and then some. What really caught me by surprise was the incredibly clean, almost dry, finish. I know Iíve said it time and again, but if they sold this here in my neck of the woods, this would be my go-to beer. Plus, the label is great. Fish. On a beer bottle. Corny or genius? You decide. Golden pour with an ever so faint haze and topped by a medium off white head settling to a fine bubbly layer. Big hop aroma of pine, citrus with some faint floral notes. There is also some light toffee noticeable. Rich, medium/full mouthfeel with a fine, light carboantion. There is a nice malty base of sweet caramel balanced by wonderful grapefruit bitterness. Finish is lightly astringent with a prolonged bitterness. This is a terrific IPA, among the very best that Iíve had.

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2007 Thanks to Styles for this one. What an incredible beer. The aroma was of wonderful grapefruit pine and flowers. Pours an off orange color with a nice off white head. Taste of extremely smooth and palate was bitter and malty. I wish I had more of these, what a wonderful beer.
