before i try this bottle, let me say before larry pulled out of ill. this was my favorite beer. wish this bottle was bigger, now i really hope bells/kalamazoo brewing whatever he wants to call it gets back in illinios. about as well made as can get. hops, hops & hops, but the balance is what makes this beer so good to me. very well done AlephNull3 (114) - New Jersey, USA - NOV 23, 2010
A beautiful light pour, see through with the perfect tan hue. Small frothy head. A very distinct taste and aroma of citrus. Great beer for IPA lovers, not as hoppy I was hoping but a great great tasting beer. strattonspeaks (113) - Springfield, Missouri, USA - NOV 8, 2013
One of my all time faves. Hazy bronze pour with vanishing off-white head. Big floral and citrus hop nose. Abundant sweet malt backbone. Grapefruit. Pine. Flower bouquet. Wonderfully bitter and perfectly sweet. Slick and smooth, soft carbonation. Absolutely delightful. peterschreurs (113) - Illinois, USA - JUL 26, 2014
This is a great IPA. On the mild side for an IPA, but it's smoothness makes this a beer that I always keep in stock.

Amber pour from the bottle with a thick white head. Very hoppy aroma. Slightly fruity taste and bitter finish.

Very nice IPA, pours with a great head and lacing throughout. intense pleasing aroma as good as any IPA out there. tastes great but not as unique the aroma, still on par with any non imperial IPA you’ll find EcnarM (112) - Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA - SEP 19, 2014
Strong in every aspect that a beer should be. Great clarity and depth of color. Fantastic taste and smooth finish. Nothing else to say.

UPDATED: OCT 17, 2013 Aroma of honey lavender caramel and citrus. Like a fine perfume. Taste is a perfect balance of malt and hops. I like hoppier ipas but this is nice. Refreshing. laguerita (111) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 27, 2008
HOPS! Bitter! YAY! definitely one of my faves. super easy to drink which is amazing considering the mix of strong flavors. kane (111) - USA - NOV 7, 2004
Wow. Such a quality beer. Aroma of rain water, peaches, and the west coast beaches. The first impression is more of a mouth feel than a taste as this is the creamest beer I have tried. A quality balance between malts and hops. A strong hops prescense and taste. The mouthfeel is the distinguishing trait.
