Had out of the bottle. Creamy head that sticks around. Quite honestly the best IPA I’ve had yet TwoDudes (77) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JUL 26, 2009
I love this beer...This is the beer that started my obsession with hops...Still tastes as good today as it did all those years ago............................................... JAG55 (77) - O’Fallon, Missouri, USA - DEC 8, 2009

Pours a light yellowish brown with a small, white head that lingers. Aroma is strong and hoppy, with herbs. Parsley and grass, smells delicious. The flavor is a lot more subdued, but still very hoppy, with grapefruit and orange at the front. There’s some earthy herbal flavor as sips go through, and the beer finishes with more grapefruity bitterness. This brew is spectacular. Pungent, hoppy aroma, and smooth, drinkable flavor. On draft at O.H.S.O. Terrific blend of malts and hops. Nice beer, definitely recommend.

Pours fairly amber a little hazy. Smells hoppy. Tastes hoppy, slightly piney and slightly fruity. A nice bitter finish. A very enjoyable beer.
I’ve had this on tap and in bottle. beer4bears (75) - Ontario, CANADA - JUN 8, 2011
From a bottle purchased in Grand Marais, MN. Deep gold, thin lacy head. Citrus and pine aroma. Dry on the palate with a bit of the alcohol showing through. Creamy with average carbonation. Pleasant bitter from beginning to end. A good brew. jennythenipper (74) - St. Paul, Minnesota, USA - JAN 22, 2003
UPDATED: MAR 10, 2003 I've had this beer in bottle and draught and definitely prefer the draught as it's quite a bit smoother. Makes a wonderful sweet first impression with a nice hoppy zing at the end. A nice break from the overly-hopped IPAs that one usually gets. The subtlety of Two Hearted on tap almost reminded me of a bitter, except that it had a bit more of a head. Does that make any sense?
I think that if you served a two-hearted ale to a guy with a steak and some mashed potatoes, he'd probably propose to you between mouthfuls. growler (74) - West Virginia, USA - JAN 16, 2005
12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy straw color gold with a decent white head. Scent is that of pine, and light citrus. Refreshing crisp taste with just the right amount of hops for bitterness. Light body but very refreshing. Pleasantly semi-dry finish. An excellent IPA by all means!! HopBurp (74) - Michigan, USA - JAN 13, 2011
Wow. It doesn’t get much better than this. I’ve waited a long time to rate this, usually stick to rating the beers from outside my availability.. Going to rate this super high quality local though Drinking this reminds me of all the fun times I’ve had with friends while drinking this beer over the years. Nose is so pungent. Mango, floral, sweet pineapple aroma. Appears a nice burnt orange color. the taste is just the ultimate balance and the most tasty flavors of hops ever. It finishes so F’ing smooth its not even funny. This is dominant and invigorating on the taste buds.
