India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

Good beer. I had it at the Green Leafe, here in Williamsburg, during Trivia Night. Maybe the atmosphere got in the way of me getting a lot of flavor out of the beer. I found that the aroma was one of floral, light hops. It pours a copper gold. Good beer to look at. The taste? Slightly sweet and decently bitter (not a huge hop bomb). The beer lingers. Its got a nice long finish, not dry at all. Thereís a pleasant carbonation to it that I thing makes the sweetness seem not too offensive. Its nothing outstanding but then, this isnít my style. But its a very drinkable beer (I donít mean that condescendingly either) and its something Iíd gladly keep in my fridge.

Extra given to me by MarkWise, thanks very much for the big package. Pour was a typical light sunlight/amber with tufts of uneven white foams. Small bubbles cackle over the honey tea body. Smell is Hoppy, but itís definitely put in a sweet background context. Taste is a hop flavor seasoning more than bitterness with a big sweet tea bread malt character. Light brioche, some sugary bread off set by a hard candy/gummy hop flavor. Really nice balance, and definitely consistent with that malty forward IPA I associate with the midwest.

One of my all-time favorite go-to beers. The aroma is big citrus hops with just a little pine and grass. The flavor is boldly malty but not sweet at all. The hop flavor is delicious and crisp. The finish on this beer leaves you wanting more.

Bottle. Pours golden, very clear, thin off white head, decent retention. Citrusy, pine resin on the nose some tropical fruits (pineapple, passion). Light to medium malt body, flavor poems with the tropical fruits, lightly smacks you with very citrusy hops, very well balanced, medium finish.

Pours a deep yellow, slightly orange color with a good head. Earthy, piney aroma. Has a strong citrusy hop bite with a good malt backbone. Mouthfeel is a little oily, which coats the tongue with a lingering bitterness. A classic IPA and a good standby, but not completely worth the price and hype. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured with almost no head, followed by slight lacing that faded quickly. Massive floral hops taste with a hint of pine. Very crisp and enjoyable.

Bottle from Ughsmash. Pours a deep golden sunset with thick head. I love the biscuity malt and centennial hops aroma that perfectly matches the taste. I wish they would distribute farther east because this would be my goto beer.

pure and simple, no debate or discussion or long drawn out review from me needed: this is the most beautiful, most perfect, most divinely inspired ale ever made. were you to tell me i had one hour to live, and i could only drink one beer in that hour, i ask for a bucket full of bell’s two hearted ale. this is the brow sweat of the Almighty in a glass.

Pours a light hazy orange/gold. Small head diminishes to a thin ring rather quickly leaving a bit of lacing. Aroma is piney and citric and very inviting. Flavour is piney, grapefruit, some pleasant sweetness. I expected a more bitter finish I suppose. But the great aroma combines with the initial flavor and smooth, rich mouthfeel to make one want another immediately.

12 ounce bottle (thanks mom!) Pours a nice amber color with a thick foamy off-white head. Leaves a good bit of lacing down the glass. Aroma of floral and citrus hops. Taste is similar, a little spicy too. Smooth drinking. I could easily have several of these. Great IPA.
