On tap at Crunchys. I’m typically not a huge fan of smoky beers, but this lager was light enough to be refreshing. Probably a nice beer for summer time.

Draft at Trion. Honey smoked ham aroma. Clear golden yellow with a small white head. Meaty smoke malt and light grassy hop flavor. Light to medium body, lively carbonation.

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2013 On tap at crunchy’s in east lansing. Thick smoke flavor in an extremely light beer. I would love to have this in the summer while grilling because I could enjoy a few in a row.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Tap at Muddy Pig. Rich yellow pour with a frothy white head. A little yeast and smoke on the aroma. Flavors blend kinda funny, but not too bad. Decent brew.

GABF, 2012, Friday Evening. A simple lager with a great smoke character, which is strong in both the flavor and aroma, complimented by dry malt of the Vienna.

GABF. Pours a clear amber appearance with an off white head. Moderately meaty smoky, light woody, caramel aroma that seemed a touch off. A little herbal, chewy woody, smoked, moderate caramel flavor. Ehhhh.

Had this at the 2012 Great American Beer Fest in Denver, Colorado. Nice smoke scent, flavor doesn’t mix well.

Drake (13954) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 26, 2012
Served on draft at Beer Run. Pours a clear amber color with a thin head that quickly fades. Aroma of big smoky notes, salty ham and caramel malts. The taste is big smoky notes with some bitter astringent qualities and pale caramel malts. Medium bodied.

On draft at Fizz for Craft Day Afternoon. Clear orange with a thin white head. Smokey malt aroma. A little peat like. Similar flavors very woody smoke. Pretty decent. I’d like more smoke. But solid. 7/3/7/3/13

On tap at Maduro for the pre-GTMW party, pours a light brown with a thin head, the aroma has a subtle smoke touch with some caramel and malt, the flavor has a nice smokiness on the front end, kind of like bacon in a way, the finish is sweet with the caramel and the malt, not bad.
